BREC park on S Harrell's Ferry is looking pretty good these days. Why not a Par 3?

I wish they'd bulldoze St. Jean apartments and build this.

Fat chance. They're building the walkers a new Dollar General on S. Harrels.

BR tried this once. 18 hole lighted course on Greenwell Springs Rd. Didn't work.
Think about your serious gold dudes. They can't get outta the house on a weeknight and besides.... A round of golf is a 6 hour commitment with all that goes into it. Who wants to get home at midnight with work in the morning?

Yep played there a few times. Fun but brutal.
Darkness + tons of water hazard= too many lost golf balls. I went through at least 12 playing 9 holes and I wasn't that bad. It was brutal. Fairly fun course during the daylight though to spend and hour or so.

So many negatives posted already, but nobody has even mentioned mosquitos yet.
Yeah, this is a terrible idea. Sorry.

I remember that course...smallest greens ever immediately surrounded by water hazards..I remember thinking the course was somehow a front for a giant used golf-ball collection and resale business. It's a cool idea to be able to play golf at night, but I don't know how to make the business work

Maybe it's dementia from my advanced age, but I think I recall playing a lighted par 3 course on Airline Highway in the late 50s or early 60s. Seems it was located somewhere near Old Hammond Highway long before that area was built up.

Your dad could have used a condom, and your mom could have used a coat hangar.
What's your point?

I spent some time in BR in 95/96 - there was a lighted driving range that I visited a few times - I had an old Lynx 3 iron that I could bury into the darkness.
I miss my young nitro ways.
