Licensed electrician needed.

I have a small job I need completed. I have a house under contract and the buyers are insistent a licensed professional do the work. My panel has double-tapped neutrals. There enough empty neutrals on the neutral bus bar to remedy the problem. I can do it myself in 10 minutes, but I'm looking for a reputable contractor to appease the buyers. Hopefully one who won't charge me $300 to show up, take 3 smoke breaks, and operate a screwdriver for 10 min.

For a skilled and licensed electrician to leave a contract job, he has to drive across town with his tools, truck, helper, and neglect a planned job. His signature is making him, his business, and his insurance company liable for any defects. The fact that the buyers want someone skilled to do it rather than you, shows their intelligence. $300 is a bargain.

Call Scot Roy at Notoco and ask him for Terry Wainwrights phone number. I don't have it handy. Best small electrician you will find and he doesn't smoke.

$300 was an arbitrary number I made up in jest. I have not gotten any quotes. And it doesn't show their intelligence, it shows caution. They don't know me. If they did, they would rather I remedy it. Notice i didn't come here asking for generic wiring help.

I have no problem paying fair pricing. Im not seeking the low-bidder. I dont know any residential electricians, so I posted here asking for recommendations.

Not trying to beat you up man. My good friend is an electrician. He refuses small jobs for this reason. He can do new work/construction all day and never fish a wall, or climb in a hot attic. He would never do his own plumbing, list his own home, or defend himself in court. Leave things to the pros. Again, best of luck in your search. If you have a friend that is a general contractor, he or she likely has one that is loyal that can be recommended.

I would just throw two hundred in cash out on the table that tell them to hire their choice of electrician...I am not into spending my time working on someone else's shite...

I'll give them a call tomorrow. I was just clarifying my request in case there were any electricians on the board. I'd hate small jobs too. However, this is literally standing in an air conditioned room and turning a screw driver for a few minutes. No other tools, climbing, troubleshooting etc are needed. It's an easy job.

Tried that. The buyer let the inspector convince him the house is going to burn down his first night in it unless this is remedied.

The going rate is generally $90-$105 per hour.
