I’ve been flying out of there even longer, there was a time when the food in that airport was better than a lot of restaurants outside of the airport, the employee cafeteria was so good at one time that it was worth going to eat at on days off :lol. sadly it’s just a ripoff shithole right now

Can’t be true. MSY has been voted the best airport in the US for at least two years and running.

Probably some sham marketing survey they pay to be a part of and they dial up a category for you to win. Like best midsize airport with under x gates.

My favorite msy experience these days is when your flight arrives early and then wait on the plane for 20-30 minutes because no gate is available.

That's still not as bad as the 3.7 mph ride to the parking garage.

Last time, I told the driver to speed up because a dog was pissing on the tire.

This. I attempted to get a smoothie from Smoothie King after an early morning flight. The bulldog looking “woman” working was too busy screaming at people to make smoothies. I just left and got a smoothie on the way home from the airport.

People flying with kids. When you take an early AM flight more than 2 hours long with kids it’s really helpful to get to airport and have a decent breakfast before flying. When the flight is at 8:00 am it’s hard to do that with the kids before heading to airport.

And yes, the breakfast options at MsY mostly suck and take way, way too long.

I regularly eat at the airport, since flight times frequently are awkward… ie 11:40-230 pm flight or 5p-8.

Exactly.

Lots of times you have no choice.

And Southwest sure as hell doesn't have any food.

I age our concessions suck. You would think we would have great options but it's great names with bad food.

You would think those names would be embarrassed since the food and service is awful

But again I guess as long as the money rolls in they don’t care

Nothing says "Welcome Home" like landing in MSY after a week in beautiful Europe to see fat black women in pajamas 2 sizes too small talking loud on speakerphone. These are the same people that work at the establishments you mentioned.

If I could move away from this place I would do it in a hearbeat
