If you truly need to turn 5k into 20k, I feel very sorry for you. That said, desperate times call for desperate measures.
I'd probably head over to the roulette wheel and randomly bet on either red or black and hope to win twice.

I'd go roulette. Bet one of the 50/50 odds. Red or black, odd or even. A little less than 50% odds because of the house numbers.
You'd need to win 2 times in a row. That's a little less than 25% chance to double up twice.

Near impossible to do. Too many decks now days & big casinos are turning to computer systems at the table.

If you are going to a casino because you NEED to make money and not as entertainment and money you can afford to lose......expect a high probability of the outcome not going your way.
(Obviously that logic doesn't apply to professional gamblers)

Several casinos still have single deck shoes. Even 2 deck shoes.

Only lived in Tucson for 13 weeks 11 years ago and I never checked any of the resorts there.

Find casinos with fewer decks and higher stakes in Vegas. You won't find that on riverboats or tables next to penny slots.

Roulette... throw all 5k on green and close your eyes

They literally have single deck at Harrahs in Nola and 2 deck at Lauberge BR.

Honestly, a high limit slot is your best odds on turning that kind of profit. $50-$100 a pull and pray. You could lose but chances are if you hit it will be for well over $1000. I've gone on several occasions (3 to be exact) to the wheel of fortune $50 and hit for over $2200. One time was for $5000. Yeah I've lost as well buy I usually only put in $200 max. I either hit or walk away.
Is actually. ...

You have a 22.4% of doing this if you bet red or black on roulette and hit twice in a row.
If your initial bankroll is large enough, then I would recommend the Martingale if you can bet at least 5 times+ your initial bet. For example, bet $1,000 and lose. Then, bet $2,000 and lose. Then, bet $4,000 and lose. Then, bet $8,000 and win. You make a profit of $1,000 (your initial bet). Then, you reset back to $1,000 and try win $1,000 at a time. You would ideally want to be able to be at a table where the max bet is at least 16 times your initial bet because then there is only a 2.3% chance of catastrophic failure (losing 31 times your initial bet).
