According to the sheriff's office, the two unidentified victims were found with gunshot wounds inside the residence along Kraft Road Monday. Deputies had been called to the home for a welfare check on the residents.

It can't be a coincidence that this happens right before the Strawberry Festival.

I have not been to Ponchatoula in years. Is it still antique central, or have a lot of them closed up shop and downtown is a vast wasteland? They had a neat little museum, too.

Go to any Kraft Road in any town and any state in the country and you will find gunshot victims. It's the white people's MLK Boulevard.

Go have a drink at the Mule's Cart and just bask in the white trash wonder that is Ponchatoula. You'll get to meet all the people who were too poor to pair "flight" with their "white"

Shame. It was a nice little town. Or at least that’s how I remember it.

Played a gig there a few years ago...some of them had more black teeth than our keyboard. Sweet people though. Just don't forget to play "Free Bird" or "Fightin Side of Me" and you're good.

Hitch.
and you're referencing an old people bar halfway to Hammond, but yes, that absolutely should be the sample of people that a whole town is defined by.

Can't post who it was but I'm pretty sure it's who I played baseball with when I was 11 and 12.

*raises hand*

It's been quite a while since I've been there but it's more entertaining than what you see on TV.

Domestic crime. I can’t report who it is for the family’s sake, but pretty prominent family in town. Very sad situation.
