I wouldn’t take a chance. Food poisoning is awful. Not worth taking a chance. Toss and make a new batch.

No, I would not.

Save yourself the chance of food poisoning. Cool another batch and enjoy it for a few meals this week instead of worrying about the old batch

A few of them died shitting their brains out, but the ones who lived passed down cast-iron stomachs that allow me to eat chili that sat out over night

You only get salmonella if you acknowledge it’s existence. Same with most illnesses. Don’t think about it and it won’t happen

Or it could hospitalize 31 and kill 1 person - Right there in Louisiana.

Lazy arse cooking and food handling attitude.

It’s something most of us will do at some point so you need to Be the test case for the OT.

Eat it and let us know the result. Take one for the team!

yup just went through this last week....I'm going to be MAJOR conservative about what gets eaten and what gets thrown away in the future.

Dude ... lid was on it right?

I've left my chili on the stove top for days.

Just add more water or beer, heat it up and eat it.

Surely you had salt in it.

were you keeping it at a simmer or just off and on the stove? This is gross if it wasn’t cooking.
