Quite honestly is a very awful place. The best thing it has going for it is its proximity to Toledo bend for fishing. If you aren’t into fishing it totally blows.

For a town of its size it has produced some decent football players… Diesel, Michael Ford, Kevin Mawae, Keith Zinger, Kavika Pittman, Eddie Fuller (earthquake game), etc.

I don't know about all that.

I find it odd that if you go North, it's rednecks, if you go South it's coonasses.

Leesville is just Leesville. I think it is Ft. Polk and it's influx of people from all over the world that makes it a melting pot with no specific identity. The have rodeos, Mardi Gras parades and good Korean food. A town of all cultures with a mastery of none.

The court filing shows that Allen and the city had been sued by a city employee named Amanda Stoots, who said she had a one-year affair with Allen and was laid off after the relationship ended. Stoots also said a senior city employee sexually harassed her, touching her breasts and rear end and repeatedly propositioning her, both before, during and after the alleged relationship with Allen. In the lawsuit, Stoots said the mayor didn’t stop the sexual harassment. That night, reading it, “I felt sick to my stomach,” Ybarra said. The lawsuit said that Stoots, who agreed in the settlement not to discuss the case, began working for the city in April 2018 as a grasscutter at Fort Polk. The following month, the lawsuit said, Stoots’ supervisor, James Chris Fox, began making lewd comments to her, in person and through Snapchat, and repeatedly asked her to have sex with him. She responded that his comments were “gross,” the lawsuit said, and she demanded that he stop harassing her. Stoots informed Allen about what Fox was doing. “Ms. Stoots felt comfortable reporting this sexual harassment to Mayor Allen because Mayor Allen expressed a romantic and sexual interest in Ms. Stoots, and the two began a consensual intimate relationship in September 2018,” the lawsuit said. “This relationship continued over the next year.”
