Unless they have plans to do away with the entrance ramp and exit ramp being the same ramp on I-12 east, none of this matters

We've been through this already, the OT voted on recommending to the DOTD this plan:

Wait one lane to be added on 10 between split and bridge? I thought they were trying to add 2 plus on each side, or is that a different "project." Anything helps at this point I guess. Hopefully Amazon finished i49 to New Orleans so we can minimize the "west of Baton Rouge and goin toNew Orleans traffic."

No space for that. But it would help.

There is space for a service road, but there are some rich folks along that route that would be in an uproar.

Actually, my on ramp turns into the exit ramp to take the 1-10 East loop. That's an interesting exchange in the morning.

As if that is not already a cluster F in the morning/afternoon, we are now going to be adding more people trying to get in that right lane to get to the new college drive exit while the on-ramp / 10-loop people are trying to merge into and out of the same lane.

That is a better design, but I think it would have put an elevated College drive off ramp right up against Bocage Lakes and Citiplace apartment

Rich people benefit again. If it was a poor neighborhood they would do it.

So now I-12 will be 2 lanes going into I-10?
This seems like a bad plan. There are a hell of a lot more people coming from I-12 that continue past college drive than there are I-10 people who get off at college drive.

1 crimp in the road and 2 merge points are not good when folks can't drive on a straight stretch of road on a sunny day without smashing into each other.

Nothing mentioned about the number of lanes or anything to indicate the number of lanes on the map.

But since they are spending about $1 billion to widen the highway west of this point, they are likely going to add capacity...not reduce it.

In a helicopter maybe.
