Occupational Therapist dipshit. Not medical necessity. The fact that she treated someone who has Covid last Tuesday and they are forcing her to still treat other elderly people who are at risk has to be asking for a lawsuit.

This where I think that her contract may come into play. OP said she is a OT in the nursing home. I'm not sure about the business set up for these nursing homes. Are OT's directly employed or are they contracted in?

She is contracted. The concern is that if she gets sick it keeps me from working as well which is 75% of our income.
I know that if my elderly parent died and got covid because they didnt want her to miss a couple weeks of exercise I would be suing the shite out of them.

This virus has caused some people to lose their mind and put their stupidity on full display. Unless his wife has some underlying health issue she is no more risk, maybe less, than she would be on a normal day. People get fired for being stupid every single day.

When you put someone in a nursing home you turn over their care
The question is why hasn’t the patients personal Dr or the nursing home Dr halted unnecessary therapy?
It is either necessary or they need her to fill in other areas of the nursing home because of lack of staff

The elderly pt has the right to refuse therapy if they feel it might cause harm to their health

Based on your posts in other threads about what nurses do, I'm not so sure you know much of anything.

They are responsible for following Dr orders
Unless the Dr feels like therapy can be halted they are going to milk it for every penny they can
Unless the family has something on record regarding therapy, which we have for my Grandpa, no one within the nursing home can order any therapy without family signing off on it
Does the nursing home own any stake in the company she works for?
Did they provide her with PPE?
Have they tested staff?
