Levi's been fairly consistent with what he's said... a stronger Marco will go further north... thus Louisiana needed to keep an eye on Marco
but also... a stronger Marco will push Laura's potential Gulf landfall back east as well and help limit Laura's potential development
One quirk, it appears today that a stronger Marco also races northward. That would clear the system from the Gulf faster. Also, if Laura takes a more southerly trek then it would be slower getting into the Gulf. Still lots of moving parts. The HAFS-B run that I posted above brings Laura into Louisiana later in the run.

Laura hitting the lake Charles area woul knock out power to a whole lotta folks on the eastern side if it looks that way when it makes landfall..... by Monday morning we will have a much better idea of what we are dealing with in Louisiana.

meh. something about her face is off.
She has been getting an awful lot of camera time for the weather panic channel though

We need a serious discussion thread and a BS thread.

The timing is going to be intense.
Right now we are looking at rain from Marco on Tuesday followed by more rain on Thursday with Laura. Three consecutive days both will be pushing water into Lake Ponchartrain. Waterways need time to drain off between storms.

The new forecast cone keeps steadily shifting west.

Isn't it skirting high pressure ridge to the north?

Laura is physically attracted to Marco and wants to go where he goes.
