Ahh gotcha.

I’ve looked into pop ups that seem to have that. It would be nice but once you get that feature the pop ups get expensive. Might as well get a little trailer at that point.

Can we expect to have safe tap water before electricity in Lake Charles? Not griping, this just isn't my area of expertise, just curious. Making own ice and having safe drinking water would make things easier until power comes back.

I have been sleeping in prison for a week now responding to this hurricane. I have been told that there is no end in sight for the national guard response. I just hope I can see my son again soon.

Choupique by hwy 90 up until the northernmost neighborhood off of Pete Seay in Carlyss got power today. It’s incredibly impressive what these guys are doing. Just curious to see where the places are that will be without power the longest depending on substations and what not

Tigercowboy some of the 256 is there from my area — they’ll be leaving before long. Deploying to I’m not even sure where.

Edit: Syria. They’re going to fing Syria.

I don’t think so man. I’m fairly certain what’s coming from our taps is being pumped in by trucks.

I am well aware. Work with the 256 on a regular basis. It really a sucks for them. They are trying to do what they can to keep them home right now. As they should.

Wow so is there a chance they’ll stay home??

We’re super good friends with Colonel Desormeaux — his son is in the 256 as well. Blessings to you — I hope you get home to your family soon.

Not from the deployment, but from having too much time on Hurricane duty. I know they held some back and are trying to get them replaced as the can.

Depends, sulphur...an engineer from there I am friends with said they are treating the water just like normal, but can't pull the boil advisory until off generator power. I assume Westlake would be the same.

No sure on LC.

I know for a fact the water stations on McNeese east of common (by Wendy’s) and on Prien East of common are not running.

Shout out to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. Crews arrived from Brownsville, TX and Knoxville, TN the day after the storm and are still here after everybody else has left. They served meals, delivered food and water, removed trees and tarped roofs. They brought their own chainsaw crews and bucket trucks. Good people.

LC officials better be talking with the Cap One building owner because he’s likely to not repair it given the market there. After Katrina, he didn’t spend much getting his properties there repaired...
With Cap One vacating and a multi million deductible, I’m not sure how much it would be worth putting back into that building, considering the code upgrades, etc.
He may let it go back to the bank and it may sit a while...
