Seeing what I have over the years I would never have a metal roof on a wood frame house unless it was standing seam installed correctly.

You planning on it?
Maybe. I just started the process of finally building a small mobile home park in Ragley. Waiting on culvert permits now then I have to start the engineering part for drainage and sewage.
I really want to concentrate on it but if a deal is good I will take it. I plan on calling all of my Realtor friends and putting the word out.
How about you?

Used to not be the case but after Rita, the codes on metal roofs changed just like all codes did. Before Rita most metal roofs in SWLA were just airplane wings waiting for lift. I saw this so much while giving estimates after Rita it was insane. This also happened to my aunts house last night. Her whole roof ripped off.
Also, the old mobile homes with the crimped on metal roofs after Rita peeled off like opening sardine cans. Scary stuff and those aren't used anymore.
Wonder if those houses in Holly Beach were newer houses and if they were I bet a lot of them had a standing seam roof.

I am curious as well but have yet to see any footage of it. That area was hit hard, though.

I got interlocking aluminum shingle roof. It's not a standing seam roof but the previous owner said it's been there 40 years. Not sure how many storms it endured over the years.

Just saw a mobile Verizon tower like they had after Katrina headed West on I10 so at least cell service will get a little better soon

I think it was on Reed Timmers drone video around the lake.

them the time / date stamps on the pics of our cleanup
This is essential.
A few years back my uncle had house damage from a storm and they tried to screw him out of some money over this fact. Fortunately for my uncle, I had also taken pictures at the same time on my phone that were date stamped.

Well dad and family ride it out in Welsh. A lot of roof damage but not much else. Trying to find some tarp to try to mitigate before insurance adjuster gets there (could be awhile). If I remember right in Katrina, we got ours from FEMA. The NG was handing them out.
Any ideas?

Hay bales?
Please leave the tracking maps up a couple more days, east Tennessee doesn't trust Kentucky to keep the heavy rainfall up that way.
