Speaking of shite holes, not sure if I should head to Houston or Shreveport tomorrow. Need to ensure I have internet and electricity for business this week and I live too close to the lake for comfort.
Shreveport is a much safer bet for storm impact.

I glanced over your Louisiana only mention.

Crying wolf causes people to not pay attention to shite in the future. Dumb shits.

I hope the Kinder casino has good generator backup. Those degenerates will be pissed if their slots are interrupted.

You've become more annoying in this thread than PJ and TDsNGumbo combined.

Notorious a-hole as far as intensity goes. Not as bad as the old HMON though
I miss the doomcanes
the sub-900 mb runs were amazing

I've only read sparingly but every time I click he is wish casting, fear mongering, or both.

with two exceptions - Katrina we went to Houston and one I can't remember the name of sometimes in the early 2000's when we left and for some reason ended up in Montgomery.

Gustav - people praying the rosary in the hallway and a wooden fence on the side of the house losing some boards.

The fact is most of the time a very small area gets the real brunt of storms. It doesn’t hurt, at least to me, for folks to know or be prepared.

I guess I should do an explainer on the Laura intensity situation and why there is a lot of concern that Laura will end up as a major hurricane.
Everyone knows the Gulf is full of warm water, but it's the upper level pattern that implies trouble. Shear is going to be light all the way across the Gulf. There's also going to be this upper high pressure not just providing low upper level winds but an upper high means upper divergence. In layman's terms, all the air Laura will be sucking in at the surface will be spreading out aloft. What goes in must come out, and so Laura can bring in more air at the surface because she can breathe it out at the top.
It also sets up for two outflow channels to really move the air out to the north and south. I drew some arrows where they would be wanting to set up.
Intensity forecasting is difficult, and there could be something to frick up this process I'm not seeing. The fact is though, the potential for a strong hurricane and one that is intensifying into landfall is there.

It's mainly because you can't read, so...
I've done zero fear mongering or wish casting in this thread. If you link me to a time when I did it, I'll bow out for the day.

This son of a bitch on TWC just said the hurricane is out of the cone already.

Marco is a fighter. Pretty impressive last hurrah before shear finally takes its toll...

What you are doing is being a massive douche. People are searching for valuable info, from the people who know what they are talking about. Nobody wants to read through your constant BS to find it.

TWC dude also said higher probability now for NOLA to be “in play” wrt Marco

I've asked a few questions and posted gifs and images like I've always done. Not sure what has everyone's panties in a wad lately, but the lull between NHC updates and major model runs has always been like this.

Thanks for the great explanation on that
