I would have left if I was seated next to that table or if they were seated next to me.

We eat at their Decatur location at least once a month. I've noted that they have an East Point location before, and wondered what it must be like.

The Redfish Pontchartrain is pretty good, and they have good char-broiled oysters as well.

The dishwasher broke at Superior the other day and the manager was hustling around the place in an apron, hand washing everything. That had to be terrible because they use a ton of dishes in that place. Everyone gets water automatically, chips and salsa plates/bowls/carafes, etc.

Every time I read social media posts from random arse people I die a little inside. How, just through osmosis, most people don't pick up a better grasp of the English language and grammar is beyond me.

Not only can I imagine, but I have sat next to a table just like that. And it makes for a miserable experience.

What they don't get, is that when they show up with that big of a party it fricks the rest of the restaurant over. Because everybody else's food doesn't even get prepared until all 50 orders are prepared. It shuts the restaurant down, basically. And they just show up oblivious and non caring to everybody else and expect A+++ service with reduced cost and impeccable attention to detail with every single demand. And as far as they're concerned, frick everybody else showing up in a normal 4 person party.

Every single cousin, neighbor, church member, and coworker shows up as though it's the last time they're gonna get to eat together. That's as far as I'm gonna go with it.

Being one of few open and your tables sit for hours and don't tip. Don't tip on food or the bottles of wine.

Yeah...

Any time I've done this with family/friends we have always called a few days ahead of time, made a reservation for a room or area of tables together, and let them know that we will tip well and won't raise a fuss. Just showing up with that type party is just an a-hole move.

It really does throw a wrench into the entire operation. We don't do that often, but when we do we try to make it as smooth as possible.

Funny thing about racial stereotypes is when it’s white people nothing is ever said about it...

That famous block buster Water Boy was on this morning and I was laughing how much coon asses were so stereotyped in that movie and note a peep was heard from anyone...

I’m glad I never had to deal with that. I enjoyed my time serving at Jones Creek Cafe. I remember a guy gave me a $20 bill for a Corona that he asked me to put in the freezer for a few minutes. I remember the food being somewhat pricey so I usually made good tips.

I think dishwashing is the worst position in a restaurant. Think about how much plateware, cups and silverware a table of 4 goes through if they each get a cocktail, appetizer, entree and dessert. It never ends.

The restaurant I did it maybe had 25 tables. I was worn out after that shite. At least I got to drink it off with the owner when I was done.
