Outside of old war movies and the odd Seinfeld rerun, this is not a common term in American speech today. In fact the only place we see it used these days is in Kremlin propaganda. The Russians evidently believe this is a strong weapon in isolating their opponents and reinforcing their disinformation. But it is really a giant tell, a fool-proof method of identifying information sourced from Optikov street.

Looks like another massive attack on Ukraine for a 3rd Night in a row. I just read Zelensky tried to Assassinate Putin when he was recently in Kursk with a Drone attack. This might explain these attacks
