59% of Americans say Trump is too weak on Russia — poll
May 20, 2025, 02:39 PM
Most Americans would have preferred a tougher stance from President Donald Trump’s administration against Russia and its dictator, Vladimir Putin, according to a Harvard CAPS/Harris poll published on May 20.
Specifically, 59% of respondents said Trump was not tough enough in his dealings with Putin. Yahoo News reported that more than 60% believe Putin is dragging out peace talks involving the United States and support arming Ukraine and imposing extra sanctions if Moscow continues to stall.
Two-thirds of those surveyed said they feel Putin is “playing around and dragging out” negotiations for a peace deal, while only 34% believe he sincerely wants to end the war. In contrast, 62% said they trust Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s declared aim of ending the conflict.
Another 62% said the Trump administration should continue supplying weapons to Ukraine and impose further economic sanctions against Russia if it refuses to engage in negotiations. Thirty-eight percent opposed additional arms shipments and sanctions.

Zelensky's ex-adviser Arestovich announced he's ending the collection of funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, calling them "collections for murders
LOL, the midget of Kiev be sanctioning and putting cases on literally everyone. Ex president, ex adviser, ex campaign financier.
From what I remember Alexey Arestovich was the biggest Ukrainian mouthpiece during the war. He was constantly putting out cope about progress of Ukrainian forces.
Now Zelensky sanctions him, puts criminal cases on him and froze his bank accounts.
Serves him right, but it's nice that he stopped spewing the lies. However, he was probably one of the biggest recipients of USAID dollars to brainwash Ukrainians.

Much to the chagrin of Russian talking points, Trump is 100% correct here.

More like mocking French and Macron specifically. lol Trump was obviously saying it jokingly.
France and Britain didn't have a shot against the Nazis without Americans and Russians. Americans provided much needed industrial base, while Russia provided both industrial base and the manpower.
Take a day off from whining about Russia.

So another decades long tax payer grift of another useless program in another country....got it. So why is the EU pouring money into something that doesn't belong to them. Look, I get that your probably some ageing, retired boomer struggling to maintain some sort of relevancy in the world that no longer needs him. Get a dog you pussy.

Andriy Portnov, aide of ex-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, was shot and killed in a targeted assassination in Madrid.
The 52-year-old former official, who had faced treason charges in Ukraine and was widely accused of collaborating with Russia, was reportedly shot five times, including once in the neck.
Witnesses say the gunman then approached Portnov as he lay wounded and delivered a fatal shot to the head before fleeing the scene.

Russia is amassing personnel near the state border in the Kharkiv sector - this is a clear preparation for active assault operations, — said Andriy Pomohaybus, chief of the Ukrainian 13th "Khartia" Brigade.
"The main build-up on their part is fibre-optic drones. This is a very sensitive issue. We are taking countermeasures [...]," — Pomahaybus added.
According to him, the range of such drones can reach 15-30 km.

You keep leaving up the part where Russia aided and abetted Hitler.
The ugly truth is Russia fed the rabid dog and the dog turned on them.
