They were never encircled. They were divided to the border with one portion not connected by roads but plenty of fields formerly cultivated. So how muddy it is matters to that section.
Russia was attempting to drive into the Sumy Oblast from the northern flank.

Unreal, Ukraine is shooting down more if their planes than the Russians are! Even with the ineptness shown by Ukraine, Russia can barely move West. Wow.

Following various bloggers, Ukraine has been withdrawing, but there is no encirclement unless it is Russians being encircled.

Obviously, but there are consequences for Russia too.
If Ukraine does not agree to Russia's stipulations, what are the consequences for Russia?

More Russian gold spent on ammo and guns
Stress on Russian society

Sounds like projection and besides Russia is good at shooting down civilian airlines!

It's more like if Russia doesn't agree to Trump's stipulations, what will be the consequences.
Putin screwed the pouch when he invaded Ukraine. He could have gotten easy concessions for the Russian population there, but he wants to be Peter the Great and any excuse will do.

During interviews in Trump's campaign he said that he would give Ukraine the most modern weaponry and more than they could handle

Probably a coincidence but the shuttle containership which T boned a US tanker carrying Jet Fuel for DoD was captained by a Russian. Ernst Russ

The Minsk agreements were signed in 2014 and 2015.

Borris is full of shite. He and the U.K. on orders from Biden pressured Ukraine not to make the deal. Blaming it on Azoz is comical

U.S. President Donald Trump warned Russia of "devastating" economic consequences if it did not sign a cease-fire deal his administration has agreed to with Ukraine but stressed he hoped it wouldn't be necessary to exert that type of pressure.
"There are things that you could do that wouldn't be pleasant, in a financial sense. I can do things financially that would be very bad for Russia. I don't want to do that because I want to get peace," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday as he met with Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin.
"In a financial sense, yeah we could do things very bad for Russia, it would be devastating for Russia."
Trump reiterated his preference for persuasion over coercion on the 30-day cease-fire negotiated with Ukraine by U.S. officials in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, saying he and his team were "getting close to maybe getting something done."

FWIW I'd be willing to wager that a ceasefire will be agreed to and violated within 5 days. Everyone will blame the other side for doing and the ceasefire will fall apart. I truly hope that doesn't happen though

So your assertion is that Biden pressured Ukraine to not take a deal in 2019 when Trump was president?

I'll be interested in seeing what tomorrow holds.
I do think about ceasefire will be made, I just don't know if Putin tomorrow will throw out more conditions or actually do it. I think it'll be more of the former than the later though
