Why is the EU crying about reciprocal tarrifs,

It's "tariffs."

and Trump is wrong, again.

He's confusing (on purpose?) "VAT" with "tariffs."

What's the difference?

"Value Added Tax" is a sales tax... it applies to all products in the EU, internally produced and imported, all the same.

People in the Libertarian and Conservative spheres have been clamoring to have VAT replace income tax here in the US.

So that's what the EU is pointing out is screwy.

Why do you think Russia is an enemy of Europe? What damage has Russia done to you? Have we sold you gas and raw materials at lower prices than the prices at which your "friends" are currently selling you? YES Did Russia sacrifice 20 million people in World War II to get rid of the Nazis? YES Was Russia the first country to help Europe during the Covid pandemic? YES Did we help Europe when there were fires and natural disasters? YES What has Russia done to you that you hate it so much? Russia is not your enemy; your real enemies are your leaders, those who lead you!”

It is reported that the Russian army has intensified attacks in Kursk region of Russia. According to unverified information, Russians have gotten to Ukrainian positions in Sudzha through the Druzhba gas pipeline this morning.

Reportedly, the pipeline is under increased observation and the Russians assault men are being identified and killed. About 80% of the Russian assault group might have been destroyed.

According to reports, the situation in Kursk region is tense for the Ukrainian Army. Russians are going into assault with large numbers of men and military equipment.

There has been information that Ukraine's position in Kursk region has worsened after the United States stopped supplying intelligence data to Ukraine.

Was Russia part of a pact with NAZI Germany to conquer and divide Europe, but Hitler thought they were too weak and turned on them? YES!

“Liberation” by Russia amounts to just destruction, even in their own country.

Ukraine should just seize areas in Russia and plan to pull out after Russia has shelled them to oblivion... let them expend artillery destroying their own areas.

Breathe it in deep!

It takes Trump's interference for Russia to make gains... luckily for them he's done it twice in the war.

Union jobs made products overpriced and lower quality. That is what gave Japan their foothold into the US Auto market and decimated the US auto industry.

So it is the Unions fault, and American workers cannot have power and be paid well.

Okay. What is there for Americans to complain about, then?

Off topic, but the biggest role the unions played was the rejection of robotics and automation. The Japanese eagerly embraced it and the result was a far better product.

Actually Russia cut a deal with the Nazis to partition Poland and take the Baltic States.
This allowed Germany to look elsewhere. They then took Denmark, Norway, the Low Countries and France. WWII was spreading.

When Hitler turned eastward Russia was fighting for survival not against Nazism. They weren’t fighting for the West. They fought for themselves.

They took full advantage of their successes and conquered much of East Europe and parts of China.

They were not good guys.

And robotics and automation mean fewer workers, right?

This the Catch22 of the American working class: the world has moved on, American workers still want high-paying factory jobs doing very simple things.

And its why they're going to be increasingly angry and bitter no matter who is in the White House.

Actually, probably angrier and more bitter when the people who rile them up the most way under-deliver on promises.

TIME Magazine: “Hundreds of Dead”: Inside the Fallout from Trump’s Ukraine Intel Pause

The U.S. decision to suspend the flow of military intelligence to Ukraine this week has aided the Russian advance along a critical part of the front, weakening the negotiating position of President Volodymyr Zelensky and killing many Ukrainian soldiers in recent days, according to five senior Western and Ukrainian officials and military officers familiar with the situation.

“As a result of this pause, there are hundreds of dead Ukrainians,” one of the officers told TIME in an interview on Friday in Kyiv, asking not to be named when discussing sensitive military operations. “The biggest problem is morale,” he added, as the armed forces of Ukraine are being left to fight without some of their best weapons systems, not as a result of Russian attacks but American pull backs. “It’s really causing an advantage for the enemy on the front line.”

Shameful.

I was in Paris in early 2011, and a big street protest passed a restaurant we were in... I asked what it was about and the waiter looked and listened to the chants and said

"Libya... today they are protesting against bombing in Libya. Tomorrow... well, they'll decide what they're protesting for the day tomorrow morning. I think they put it to a vote. I plan my schedule around the marches every day."
