Looks like they're starting to place anti-tank obstacles on some streets in Kyiv.

They have them all over Odessa. That looks like a cool city. It would really suck to see it blown to shite.

There are Unconfirmed reports from sources on the ground that Ukrainian Military Forces have now Fully Retaken the town of Hostomel' just Northwest of Kyiv, this is where a Russian VDV Unit was ambushed and liquidated by Ukrainian Special Forces 2 days ago.

This is also where Antonov Airport is located, where some of the Most Severe Fighting of the War so far occurred in the first few days of the Invasion.

I think that regardless the outcome of this war we will read books about the battle for Hostomel. What the Russians have thrown at that airfield and the surrounding town is unreal, and the Ukranians have defended it with Special Forces. If we ever get a real, confirmed tally of troops killed there, it will be significant.

About the convoy:

We've seen reports and articles written that the Ukrainians are picking at it, basically. It is also likely that they have cut off resupply efforts to the convoy. It is pretty clear now that it is stalled due to the blown bridge, maintenance issues, and nearly constant attacks by the UA.

We have focused on "How long do the Ukrainians just let it sit there?" Another question could be, how long will the Russians sit there? If they can't go forward, and their supply line is cut or greatly hindered, when do the Russian troops abandon that convoy? Do they loot the surrounding area? Do they split into smaller groups to scout the area and take the chance of being engaged by the Ukranians?

We've all looked at that convoy as a big problem for the Ukranians, and it is......if it can advance. It has to, eventually, be looked at as a problem for the Russians, I would think.

Armies in the past were able to build makeshift bridges to cross. My grandpa did this in WW2 after he stormed the beaches and moved their way through Europe. The Romans did it 2,000 years ago.

It's possible the convoy is just waiting for other forces to come from other angles and it's also possible that the Russian military is simply incompetent.

With what we know of Russian maintenance practices, those trucks are all out of gas with flat tires and dead batteries now. It may take weeks or months to clear that route.

Yeah, I know that is the clear option to unfrick the situation. With how unprepared some of this seems, it isn't hard to believe they would drop the ball on it.

So… this is our retard of a President… brace yourselves…

“How did we get to the place where, you know, Putin just decides he’s gonna invade Russia.”

Ummmm, yeah, is there any reason anyone shouldn’t panicking over that? Did Trump ever say anything even a hundredth as stupid, senile, and dangerous as that? Chamberlain would literally be a hundredfold better in this situation than this. And then here’s his retard VP with her complete understanding of Ukraine and Russia:

I’m remaining calm for this forum, but shouldn’t there be an immediate emergency election over these two at this point considering we’re on the cusp of WWIII or may already be in it? These two fricktards clearly can’t lead us through this. DeSantis is clearly our Churchill in this situation, so how can we get him into the Oval Office say… next week?

Our own President said that Russia’s President invaded… Russia… I’m sorry, no, he is a dementia patient that is going to get us all killed. That’s not a newspaper. That’s a serious concern and he should be thrown out of office within the second.

Make no mistake: we may be in WWIII right now. That is not an exaggeration. That is a strong possibility, and by that I mean 10%, which disturbingly high. No, this is serious. He mistook Ukraine for Iran earlier this week. I’m sorry, but no, you all finding this acceptable is going to get all of us including your kids all killed.

How do you think it’s going to end when Russia invades someone when our President has no idea not only where he invaded but who he is? He has to be thrown out of office now.

Bridging assets are extremely important when fighting in Europe, though more so farther to the east near the Fulda Gap.

The US Army Engineers use multiple types of bridging assets from "ancient" Bailey bridges to the "modern" M60 based Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge (AVLB) and the newest M1 based Joint Assault Bridge (JAB) which I am not sure is operational yet. The AVLB is capable of spanning a 60' gap in well under 2 minutes and can support MBT traffic.

One thing I noticed in all of the Russian convoy pictures was a distinct lack of engineering assets. This indicates either the assets are not operational or they simply didn't think they would need them. Normally in a combined arms brigade, you will want an entire Combat Engineer battalion for support.

Without knowing the width of the span dropped by the Ukrainians it is impossible to say specifically but a well-planned compliment for the route should have had bridging assets and unless we are talking about hundreds of feet of dropped span it should not impede movement for more than half a day, much less if the span loss was under 50' That is assuming direct and indirect fire targeting the bridge can be suppressed well enough to facilitate the engineers' work.

I almost certainly have not seen all the pictures of the "40 mile convoy" but all the ones I have seen appear to be mainly or solely personnel and logistical resupply type vehicles. I have seen nothing that looks like armored combined arms units.

Honestly a fricking gopher would be preferable at this point as President than Biden. If you just want to downvote me as a fear monger when Biden can’t identify the dictator of which country he invaded and think this is fine, you’ve lost your fricking minds. This is fricking serious. Make no mistake we may be at the start of WWIII… but this guy, he’ll do!

This is an emergency, and he has to be thrown out immediately. I’m not afraid of standing up for an unpopular opinion, and if it takes a coup to reinstall this guy that I personally despise back into office to save the country and the planet, then fine. The guy currently in office doesn’t know where he is and constantly shits his pants is obviously worse than the Riverboat Casino Captain we called President:
