What the hell is going on with the Russian troops?

I think it's a combination of poor planning/supply chain issues and deserters.

Like I said, I have a sick sense of humor so watching people lose their minds over Cam Newton-Gate and QAnon and such is kind of entertaining.

It’s the same ole morons who still get suckered in time after time.

It guarantees that the job market never gets too competitive with really smart people.

You're just butthurt that I outed the poliboard's latest and greatest "news source."

My apologies to the rest of the board for hijacking this thread. I'll bow out of the argument now.

8 EU countries support Ukraine's call to fast-track membership talks

open letter from the 8 presidents-

We, the Presidents of the EU member states: the Republic of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Poland, the Slovak Republic, and the Republic of Slovenia strongly believe that Ukraine deserves receiving an immediate EU accession perspective.

Therefore, we call on the EU Member States to consolidate highest political support to Ukraine and enable the EU institutions to conduct steps to immediately grant Ukraine a EU candidate country status and open the process of negotiations.

In this critical moment, we reiterate our full solidarity with Ukraine and its People.

Then after they’ve seen the article clarifying the pictures, they’ll still promulgate the meme of the wooden rifles in future threads and spreading the disinformation to other posters who haven’t yet seen the article that clarifies the situation...spreading like a virus.

This is something I've noticed on TD a shitload. I'm sure it's featured on every social media platform but I've seen tons of examples on TD of people believing something that is factually incorrect. Being corrected with verified evidence. Hand waving the evidence away for "reasons" and then repeating the factually incorrect thing verbatim in the next 5 threads on the subject.

Ok back to war thread

I doubt there are any extra secret double sanctions to implement for this, but I can see civilian casualties turning an already unpopular war into something totally untenable for Russian people. That's assuming they're able to know about it.

LOL

I almost edited to include that you’ll respond with something resembling I’m not going to derail the thread.

If you weren’t such a bitch only looking for opinions that mirror your own, you’d know that the PT has resoundingly dismissed those opinions you’re trying to pass off as the consensus.

I wonder how long the Russian equity markets are going to be closed for. We know they are going to drill to the core of the earth as soon as they open.

That convoy is making its way to Kyiv, with a probably #1 objective of murdering Zelensky. You would think the EU heads of state would pull an all-nighter and rubber stamp the admission.

Too late. Once Russia commits the necessary resources its game over.

That being said, Putin may have underestimated the toll this will take on the Russian economy, especially if he tries to annex

The 8 are the weakest countries in the EU. Figures.
