It’s a mind virus. Kinda funny to watch, cause it’s ruining a lot of their lives with these obsessions. (No friends, estranged family, etc.) And some of these conspiracy theorists were maladaptive assholes to begin with. But still a total mind frick to engage with.

When you point them to an article (that’s right in the open) showing the guns as being used to train and drill Ukrainians who signed up, you’ll get variations of the “Oh, another propaganda article from MSM!”
Then after they’ve seen the article clarifying the pictures, they’ll still promulgate the meme of the wooden rifles in future threads and spreading the disinformation to other posters who haven’t yet seen the article that clarifies the situation...spreading like a virus.
