The cartel didn’t go to Ukraine to get a damn thing. If those are Ukrainian AT4s then some enterprising Ukrainian individual went to the hassle of moving them across the world to sell to the cartels. We’d be fools to think that some of our donated weapons aren’t already on the black market. And when this war is over…huuuu boy, off to the races.
That makes more sense to me than the cartel getting them from Ukraine directly. However, isn’t it fair to also assume it’s possible that the AT4 in the video came from another country or source?
Not trying to be argumentative here, and please correct me if I am wrong but isn’t the AT4 a widely used weapon by many militaries?

Yes.

Major explosions in Kyiv tonight, claiming 100% interception rate is going to be challenging.

I’m still catching up on news m, can you link your source?

Why wouldn't all the cartels have people over there buying up everything they can get their hands on? It a giant arms market at this point. This would be right up their alley

Here is a video of what looks like an AD system being taken out.
Thanks, I’ll see what I can dig up. Question though, how can you tell it’s an AD system in that video that gets hit?

He can’t. He’s just speculating. Any explosion in or around Kyiv will be portrayed as a Patriot battery being destroyed. Just like they destroyed 50 HIMARS the first month they were in Ukraine and they only had 18 of them. Still to this day Russia hasn’t hit a single HIMARS or M270 and they are coming up on one year being on the battlefield.

Just comparing the characteristics of the explosion to other videos of AD systems getting hit. Here is a different video where you can see at 1:38 a missile is launched from the site of the explosion and crashes into the ground.

Several dozen countries pumping hundreds of different weapon systems into it at a feverish pace. Seems pretty elementary to me. The cartels have an appetite for mil grade weapons. If I was a cartel leader my guys would be there with boatloads of cash

It doesn’t even matter if they were to manage to hit a Patriot. The Russians took the bait when the Patriot came to Ukraine and has sent so many of their precious Kinzhal missiles that they have a very short supply of and can’t make more at the pace they are using them just to destroy 2 air defense batteries.

I don’t think it’s fair to assume anything. The weapon could have been purchased in the US, could have been stolen from a military installation here, or sold by Mexican military. The only data we are provided with is a guy with a gang patch carrying a weapon. Everything else is narrative supplied by persons who have no personal knowledge. Why would we assume anything?

Just like every building that Russia hits is a children’s hospital and every building that Ukraine hits is full of a battalion of Russian special forces. Everyone in this thread speculates. 99% of the time it’s probably wrong.

Thanks for sharing, I will keep looking but from my experience every other missile attack from Russia has been tracked with twitter blowing up about air raid sirens going off in various cities but tonight I haven’t come across anything like that but I will keep checking

Another failed missile attack on Kyiv by the Putinists. When Russia runs out of missiles Putin is history.

I can’t find anything on any attack tonight. It seems to have been a very quite night. Am I missing something?

News won’t come of what was hit for a few hours.
You know that Ukraine will never admit to a patriot battery being lost.

Something like that wouldn’t be able to be hidden. They would t have a choice if one were hit. In an age where everyone has a smartphone something like that would get out. If one was hit you will know by tomorrow morning.

Has Ukraine ever admitted to its own losses? It’s against their policy pretty sure. And isn’t it illegal to photograph Ukrainian military positions?
