Lots of conflicting messages out there right now, the fog of war. The early morning reports seem to start flowing around 1 am to 2 am CST, so by tomorrow morning, there should be some clarity to the situation.

The rest of his speech went along well-worn lines, accusing "the West" of imperialism, colonialism, hypocrisy, and historical sins such as the bombing of Hiroshima and Dresden in WW2.

Searching for the raw footage above I stumbled onto something entirely different. This is from back in April but I didn't see it here and would likely not have been allowed on Twitter or YT. This is graphic footage of a Russian soldier playing solitary Russian roulette with an automatic weapon. It is impossible to beat the house in any game long term but impossible to win at this game period.
This is from an unknown to me site called deadhouse.org but none of my warning software pinged so it appears "clean". Again this is graphic.

Funny, I watched Putin’s speech this morning in its entirety. It was full of historical revisionism but the one place I agreed with him on was “Parent 1 and Parent 2 instead of mother and father” and kids being gender reassigned.

I watched his entire speech and you could tell from the blank stares of the audience that they were concerned about his leadership. They applauded on cue but there was not a smidgen of enthusiasm from any of them.
