Well those of us with actual sauce(s) had been saying that it would be late August or September before the counter-offensive really got going.
I’m as pro Ukraine as they come but if you write “sauce(s)” one more time I’m going to go over to the dark side. Dear god make it stop.

Good news from what I’ve heard. Break in has occurred and RU forces are fully kettled in a number of places and are now choosing between really shitty options.
Good point on a Twitter post:

Just a note, if Russian forces are forced to abandon the northern bank of the Dnipro, they aren't going to have many options other than leaving a ton of equipment and supplies behind.
Which ties to this video from this morning:

Fingered crossed that this goes as well as it sounds. If true then this thread has been far more accurate than the tards will ever admit.

Yeah, FB is totally PC. No sense of humor whatsoever.

I would suggest Putin losing 10-15k men might be a bit more consequential than a few ammo boxes. Things are progressing well.

My sauce in Ukrainian intel says they have 20,000 Russians trapped between in a city full of civilians that hate them, a 3 km wide river to their back, and a pissed off enemy who outnumbers them bigly closing in on them fast. He said that the Russians are still using unsecure cell phones to communicate. The Ukrainians are not only listening to everything the Russians say but they are locating where the commanders are hiding and the Ukrainian spetznaz are being given their coordinates for kill or capture missions against the top brass remaining on the west side of the Dnieper.

It’s been 6 months, which means the Russians will basically have to start over since little of their equipment is likely to be in working order now. The Ukrainians should launch a massive offensive as soon as possible. With a little bit of technical support, and internal RR sabotage they could literally drive the Russians completely out of Ukraine in 3 weeks.
This is either going to be over soon or drag on for years

NASAMS-3 and IRIS-T Air Defense coverage area in Ukraine????
NASAMS-3 Systems operational range is 50km, a battery has up to 12 launchers each with 6 AMRAAM-ER Missiles and a max speed of 4 Mach
IRIS-T Systems max range is 40km, a launcher has 8 missiles and a max speed of 3 Mach
Well the western SAMs have finally arrived. Looks like some of them are in the Kherson area of operation. That means Russia just lost its ability to use its air force to hold the Ukrainians back. Their air force was the one thing they had going for them.

If they no longer have complete air superiority, this shite maybe over sooner than later.
i can guarantee you that most of their mechanical and mechanized weaponry that has been used for over 6 months in this conflict is going to be in a condition from “completely worthless” to maybe “barely arse working” right now. No way they were able to get spare parts, mechanics in place in this war. (Which is why they are probably leaving it behind, it quit working)
Those 15-20 k ensnared Russian Troops should save their assess and send up white flags, most all of them don’t want to be fighting in this bullshite anyway.
The Ukes need to make a ridiculously generous offer soon like safe passage to county of your choice that will take you as long as u sign pledge not to fight us again. Followed by or else we shell you into oblivion.

Good point. The Ukrainians can use the weapons from the collapsing Russian lines for re-supply; but if the Russians lose a LOT of POW's things will get hot for Putin domestically. In some ways it's sounded for a while like the Russians have been positioning to fall back across the Dnipro. But if they lose that many troops in the process then they've been incompetent yet again.

The Russians built three pontoon bridges to put more troops onto the west side of the Dniper river. Those pontoon bridges are now at the bottom of the Dnieper River. The Ukrainians do not even need the HIMARs anymore to strike the Russian positions on the east bank are within conventional artillery range of the Ukrainians. Look at Nova Kakhovka getting pounded by conventional artillery.
So yes it appears that Russia is demonstrating its incompetence once again.

My friend in Ukrainian intel says that they are getting ready to offer the Russians the chance to surrender receive some cold cocktails and non-exploding cigarettes, or receive exploding cigarettes (aka HIMARs and other artillery) and some fiery (aka molotov) cocktails if they choose to fight.

I wonder how Ruff Fish is making out. Last we heard he had called the number for the volunteer tank battalion in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

Where could the Ukrainians put that many soldiers to make sure they don’t just return to their units?

Most likely not related at all but a friend of mine in Austin texted me today saying there was a very long train load full of M1 Abrams, Bradley fighting vehicles, M270’s and HIMARS along with support vehicles and MRAPs headed somewhere. He said there were at least 100 tanks alone being transported. I told him since he was in Austin that it was more than likely headed for Fort Hood but he said he’s never seen so much military hardware on one train.

They would transport them west, most likely somewhere like Lviv far away from the front.

Seeing lots of Twitter chatter about masses of people from Belgorod trying to get out via train for fears of Ukrainian strikes there. Reportedly explosions have already taken place. Trending on Twitter fwiw

Not necessarily significant. Remember a few years back when all the hardware was shuffling around and the OMLs of the world were saying they were about to start rounding up republicans and putting them in FEMA camps? Lmao good times

I wonder if they might mobilize civilian police to process and detain the POWs. It is a serious manpower suck on combat units if they start getting into the 100s especially 1000s of POWs. Hoards of POWs also produce a temptation for war crimes.

I've seen more on the Huey P. Long railroad bridge in New Orleans. Many were in camo green so likely rotation with bases in Europe. I've also seen that amount easily on then same RR bridge in tan desert camo around 2007.
