You mean Trump understands the political climate in the region better than the entirety of the Biden administration and the EU?

Funny how when the war started, support for Iraq invasion was around 75% here in America

It just goes to show you at least 75% of the population is prone to cheap media propaganda and easy to influence.

Twenty one years later and they still are.

Barbara Lee was literally the only person in Congress to vote against the 2001 Military Force Authorization. Looking back on that, it took a lot of courage.

You Putin backers are taking the opposite side from Trump; who had Russia pegged.

My belief Russia will win and also had warranted enough reasons to invade, should not be linked to a Putin backer.

If I had to choose between Putin and Zelenskyy, I would go with Putin. He is actually more important to achieving a stabilized world than Zelenskyy.

I agree that our invasion of Iraq could be compared to the Russian invasion of Ukraine as both are wars of choice, not a necessity

You guys keep talking about our war with Iraq without distinguishing between the first war and the second war.

The first war was necessary because Iraq invaded and conquered Kuwait. They were threatening Saudi Arabia. Our security as a nation was being threatened by an outlaw nation who was interrupting the free flow of oil.
The first war was a no brainer.
The second war arose because of the Clinton administration and then the Bush administration put it out there that Sadam had WMDs and was planning to use them. This turned out to be a loss of crap. That war deserves to be questioned.

October 7, 2001 - War begins

May 2, 2011 - Bin Laden killed

So you were good with just a 10 year war

You just described the DNC base and half the posters in this thread. They can not think rationally about this conflict. They’re too excited fantasizing about the Ghost of Kiev.

Certainly better than Biden, and German and French leadership.
Oh and much better than you do.

Spoken like a true progressive.

"Anyone who doesn't believe cheap propaganda is a putin backer." I got news for you, neutrality is the non emotional position here.

The propagandists have done a hell of a number on you people.

The same guy who accuses everyone of being a "Marxist" if they don't eat up RW propaganda. The lack of self-awareness is strong with this one. As usual.

Most of you were probably kids though, so you have no clue to how it unfolded.

I turned 22 in Baghdad in June of '03. Was there from May '03-March '04, I have plenty of knowledge of how it turned out and how things were.

I have no problem with that, but too many here simply want Putin to win to hurt Biden. Biden iscdead in the water. His fiscal and social policies have killed him. He doesn’t need Ukraine to lose to look bad.

You are asking a leopard to change his spots? Its not going to happen. He is the most destabilizing factor in Europe and the Middle East and perhaps the world. Go look at the wars and invasions he’s been behind. It’s way more than just this one.

You are thinking like Neville Chamberlain who in the 30s thought appeasing Hitler would stabilize Europe. Look what happened. One cave in led to another. Putin wants it all back. Ukrsine isn’t the end game here.

Yea. Let's stick to comparing Zelensky to Hitler and Stalin's love child and comparing Ukraine to the Taliban. Now THAT is highly reasonable and not at all hysterical boomer fever dreams.
