Dillards

Stein Mart is a decent option and will be cheaper like Kohls. Dillards rarely has plain black suits on sale though even though they have a larger inventory.
OP has some solid choices.

Agree w/ Stein Mart. He can get the separates (I think) and be done with it.
OP, the suit does not have to be black. You aren't the one in the box (no offense).
Any darker, conservation suit will do. Wear a muted tie and bring two, clean white handkerchiefs. A woman will need one, usually the widow.

Vette nailed it. Get a navy suit and wear a dark blue tie with. You will get far more use out of a navy suit than a black one

One last thing...
If you can't get a suit, get a dark blue blazer with charcoal pants (not black or brown).
Wear a white, button collar shirt with a conservative tie.
That will be appropriate, don't forget the handkerchiefs.

Not a problem, man. We've all been there.
TBH, the family will appreciate your presence. They aren't gonna rate your outfit.
It's good to make the effort, though.

Black suits aren't a "requirement". I've worn a navy suit and a charcoal suit to a funeral.
Here's the thing. As long as you don't look like a buffoon, you're fine. I doubt the family of the deceased is concerned with what people are wearing at this tough moment in their lives. They will be more appreciative that you showed up to pay your respects to their loved one
