Late nights are always good for a good conspiracy theory which I know the OT loves. We havent heard anything about the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay shooting for quite a while and there was alot of sketchy shite that went on that night. Also interesting how effective the "gunman" was when compared to other mass shootings. Then Trump came out and just banned bump stocks without much fanfare at all. Really really odd situation and the FBI doesn't think they'll ever have a motive, or at least not one that they'll share with the general public.

Pretty much happens in every mass shooting.

The media doesn't want to celebrate these killers, their story gets phased quickly. They'll talk about the aftermath, the victims, etc., but the killers themselves, they get shelved quickly.

frick them.

The motive and actions aren't out for a reason. Rule of parsimony does not apply as it wasn't something simple.

I must be witnessing a different media because the media that I know of doesn't live by some unspoken moral code.

Typical 2017 Trump. It was either ban bump stocks or rocket launchers to appease the dems.

No, I'm just saying they got banned without much of a fight basically from the fallout after this one shooting which didnt follow many of the "norms" of other mass shootings where the shooters had clearly documented psychological issues, motives, and characteristics. It was all just very weird to me.

It’s a good thing he was using those goofy arse bump stocks. A marksman settled in with the number of rifles he had could have killed hundreds in the twenty-something minutes he had to shoot. Single accurate shots would have been devastating.

Killed 58, shot over 400, and yet the story disappeared from the news within what seemed like a few days.

Not to mention there’s like three photographs in existence of the guy.

Not one for conspiracies, but it makes no sense whatsoever that the biggest shooting in US history has so little information available. No motive, no co conspirators, nothing.

Makes the “arms deal gone bad” theory almost seem plausible

What?

They stopped talking about the Las Vegas shooter (I don't even remember his name) after days, not even a week.

White people were having shooting sprees every other weekend, its like rocket launches, the first few were news worthy and then they become mundane

The devastating school shootings get talked about longer.

This event was just as bad. I remember the crazy interview with his brother, and the suspicions surrounding his Asian girlfriend. After that, the talk just sort of ended.

It was a damn Jason Aldean show. Thousands of people in attendance.

The shooter’s father was on the FBI’s 10 most wanted list for nearly a decade.

Got about as much coverage as an early morning Trump tweet.
