What kind of non-bitch gets bitch slapped on live television and stands there and does nothing?
A man that's doing his job.
Rock handled that perfectly.

still say it's fake but as someone pointed out, a standup comedian will cut you to shreds if you heckle him or say something stupid, I think Rock's "restraint" was part of the gag

If the victim of a misdemeanor crime like PC 242 - Battery does not want prosecution, cops walk away 100 out of 100 times. PC 243(e)(1) - Domestic Battery and PC 273.5(a) Corporal injury on spouse or co inhabitant are different and are covered under the domestic violence laws. Even then the misdemeanor 243e1 does not always result in an arrest but has to be documented.
So to summarize; you're wrong.

Even if they knew for sure the slap was real they wouldn't prosecute him and we all know why. There's privilege in this country alright and it's not white

As much as I hate celebrities, this will be interesting to watch how the parties respond. This will be in the news for the next week or two.
The black celebrities will come out of the wood work to support both. LeBron, Oprah, Obama, Jussie etc, etc. They will push the narrative that in this day where black ppl are marginalized that they all need to stick together and support each other.

Well #1 getting in a public fight in front of millions is dumb. The vast majority of people have said Rock handled this extremely well. #2, getting into physical altercations in the first place is stupid, especially when both men are famous and in their mid 50s. 3rd, these people talk about wanting to be role models and Rock showed that he could be one, although one video I saw after where he said he would fight any one from his entire family was kind of stupid
There are lots of actions you could take besides throwing down on stage at the Oscars. The comment i was responding to was about pressing charges.
Point is, if anyone ever does that to you, make damn sure there are significant consequences. To celebrate Rock as "not a bitch" for getting soul-crushed in front of the world, agreeing not to say anything else, then taking no action at all, is pathetic.

One 50 y.o. multimillionaire black man jumps on stage and slaps another 50 y.o. multimillionaire black man in front of their supposed colleagues and millions of witnesses…what’s next a little soft shoe and tap dance routine?
And we’re the problem?
Staged or not, the both of them just re-enforced racial stereotypes back 50 years.
Can you even fathom Sidney Poitier, James Earl Jones, Denzel Washington lowering the bar to such a level?
We’ve officially hit “Ideocracy” in every aspect of our society, it’s tragic, but we point and laugh like a bunch of trained chimps.

Right now, his publicist team will likely gage the reactions tomorrow before deciding how to maximize capitalizing on this event to further his career or take Smith's down a notch or two.
Chris is feverishly writing a slew of new jokes about Jada, Rappers, Slaps, Will's Oscar for "Ali"........
The jokes almost write themselves.

Google the Bill Burr Philadelphia video. It's a glorious example of this, and to this day I do not know if that was his actual show or he just said frick it and went full off the cuff takedown.

Sorry. I luckily don't live in that shithole of a city. And that is saying a lot considering I live in the shithole that is Baton Rouge.
