Yeap. Louisiana and Texas is a case study in Smart conservatism vs crony conservatism. And the results are shown in our GDP’s

Well said. What has and will continue to plague this state is cronyism, regardless of what side of the isle they are on. It really doesn't matter what letter is in front of their name. They will continue with back room deals to enrich themselves and their buddies. It's the way it's always been.

I did not read the whole bill so I may be off on what it was trying to do. But a lot of first time weed offenders were also arrested for other things. Before trial they pleaded guilty to weed possession and had a bunch of other charges dropped. This saves the state the money/time of a trial and the criminal has to spend some time in jail. I don’t think these criminals should be pardoned under the guise of they only had a little weed.

I’m not even sure we’re going to need time for that one. JBE was willing to govern, eg championing abortion restrictions contrary to the party line. Landry is a self aggrandizing clown who cares about nothing beyond his future national platform prospects.
I'm not sure Landry will be able to have the colossal frick up that was JBEs response to Covid, purely due to timing and availability. JBE, and the other governors that put in draconian rules, should be tried and convicted of treason for the absolutely insane abdication of individual rights as defined by the Constitution.

Zero fricking chance of this. You will never hear Landry yapping about two weeks to slow a fricking curve. Or putting up plexiglass in classrooms and mandating fricking paper masks. frick JBE. fricking shite arse cocksucker.

Ah, the intelligence of single issue voters.

If JBE was so great, then why didn't he pardon potheads when he was in office?

Its why you have to lol at all the poli posters who think they are above it all by calling themselves "conservatives" like that is something to be proud of

Good god all of the problems and garbage we are swimming in and he chooses this.
He’s a dumber Jindal. Working hard for that next job no matter what.

I’ve given up on this state ever having competent politicians

If he passes the bill then people can get out of jail quicker and his boys won't make as much money in this for profit prison system that's fricking the whole state up. frick you jeff.
There was some sheriff who admitted that he didn’t like the idea of nonviolent inmates being out of jail because that would mean (in his mind) that he has no free labor.

Like taking ITEP tax exemption approvals away from local governing bodies where he alone can approve what exemptions gets approved. So much for smaller government.

We all knew Landry was a bit nutty. I can't stand that we elected him. Everything he does sets us back.

Is this your first time seeing a Cajun put in charge of something? Never has an entire group of people thought so highly of themselves, but been capable of so little.
