"white people against white supremacy" rally... so do they form two lines facing each other and yell back and forth about how evil they are?
I wonder if the black community will come out and laugh at them?

He will never get a vote from me, if I ever have the chance.

Unreal, Robert E.Lee was actually opposed to slavery. What a shame.

My heart goes out to all of you southern white conservative males.

This is the same type of idiocy that we see with "zero tolerance" policies in schools when a kid makes a gun shape with his hand and gets expelled.

I just love knee jerk pandering. Sign of a true leader.

I really hate liberal/progressive pussy fricks. As if this city doesn't have enough G.D problems.
WHy this week? How is this an issue now?

This shite is really rustling my jimmies. What a fricking a-hole. I'd say a counter protest is in order to preserve history but then the media would just portray us like the next kkk

I've never heard a black person complain about Lee Circle.
Never. Not once.
Never. Not once.

He's doing this on the day Jindal announces his run for the Presidency too. Not that Jindal has a shot in hell, but I bet he is still pissed Mitch is stealing his thunder.

Maybe, but I'll be REAL mad about it though.

They would pull an Ole Miss and say we were rioting against black people.

I guess if that's the silver lining, so be it.

I'm mostly liberal, but I think that the statue should stay.
It isn't hurting anyone, and it's part of the city's history.
Kirby Smith Hall on LSU's campus is named after a confederate civil war general, should that be torn down next? Well I really hope so, because that building is a huge eyesore. It looks like it's straight out of Ukraine or something.
