I just built a house three years ago in a very nice neighborhood in the Prairieville area.

I just can't stand living in a neighborhood

Where is the tract you posted?

Look a little farther south towards St James Parish Convent area.

It's in Acy, off crawfish road.

Really low area. Not that it is a huge deal, but with all the flood protection being done around the lakes that water will eventually back up somewhere. Will it be Acy?

There is some land for sale along hwy 22 just west of the Diversion Canal. Some homes have been built and other larger lots are for sale. Not in a neighborhood. You could cross over at the sunshine bridge for the commute...

If you turn at Coon Trap Road, cross over Road Kill Drive and turn right at Garfish Slime Lane there are some nice big lots that you can put a trailer on until you can build a house.

I recently bought some acreage. I wanted to be as close to the prairieville Gonzales area as possible. When I was in the market the land there for decent non flood zone land was between 100k and 150k per acre. I ended up buying in French settlement. Only about 15 mins from prairieville Gonzales and bought 7.5 acres of flood zone x land for 75. I still check land prices from time to time online and haven't found anything close to the price per acre I paid for good non flood land.

Wbr area is seriously growing.. Wouldn't say we have bad schools either, brusly has a good school system.. But an acre around here will run you 70k give or take.

I didn't mean to offend anyone but comparing WBR public schools to Zachary, Central, Ascension, or Livingston is laughable...

"That was me... Obviously it's a generalization as there are some properties that aren't outrageous... I just want to know what a fair price per acre is"

Fairs got nothing to do with it. Whatever the market will bare rules the day. Free enterprise Supply and Demand. That stuff.

Hahaha .... Ok boss
Someone will pay 260k for that awesome tile . So I'm not too concerned about what you think about it.

BR Metro is a big area.
Rule 1. It depends on the location. For example, combine a few lots together in Rouzan or Willow Grove, you're looking at 1MM+. So again, it's all about location.

In Baton Rouge metro area, what would you consider to be a good deal price per acre?

Between $1,000 and $125,000 depending on location.
