This really gets me. Putting the fact that she was not engaged, married, or even in a serious relationship to our knowledge aside.. how does being a cheater or a mistress or whatever put you at fault for someone crashing their car and killing you? Like what?

Unless she was trying to run the dude's car off the road from the passenger seat, what the hell does it matter what light she is painted in? She could be a coked out prostitute for all it matters. That has zero relevance on her death as a passenger in a car accident.

read the article, the family specifically points to his rate of speed.. not whether or not he was sober. I think it is reasonable to wonder why people are talking about "if he is innocent". Innocent of what? Not driving fast? That type of crash doesn't occur at 35MPH.

He is going to get sued by her family for wrongful death. I would advise him to STFU and don't make any statements to the media or her family. Those statements can be used as admissions in a later court proceeding. He's receiving prudent legal advice which unfortunately seems insensitive to people who knew and loved her.

Removing his business information has nothing to do with accountability. People want instant gratification, and if they don't get that then they call foul. You don't think there is an investigation going on? You think they can snap their fingers & charge the guy? I don't see why it is so hard to be patient.

But no we want his name!!!!!! So we can search for him on Facebook!!!! Yea that is so constructive, dipshit

What? Other than my calling you a frickhead after several shots in a bar last night, how have I been irrational at ALL? If anything, I've been more rational and forgiving towards you in this thread than I prefer to be.

Putting this entire thread aside..

quote:

you pretend to be this super rational girlfriend/coworker/friend/foodie

What? I don't discuss my relationship on here other than the fact that you all know him. You don't even know what I do for a living to know anything about my role as a coworker. Telling stories about waiting tables has zero to do with who I am as a coworker. Maybe I was a huge c*nt to my coworkers? I definitely rarely discuss my friendships other than "my friend does...". Me enjoying food makes me a pretend foodie?

Like what are you even saying? If you don't like me as a person, whatever. That has been obvious for years. You're a huge a-hole to me and it gets pointed out to me plenty enough as if I don't notice. Fine. Whatever. If "Lester Earl" on Tigerdroppings.com doesn't like me, fine.

But jesus dude. What are you? 35? And you dedicate so much time/energy being an e-a-hole to some 25 year old girl you've never met. Does your wife/girlfriend know this is how you spend your time?... And you know what? If you met me, you'd probably really fricking like me because I am a good girlfriend/friend/coworker/foodie. I'm a nice person, but apparently you have chosen to pick on me because you perceive it as fake. Sorry you don't like that I'm not a jerk with an e-persona and that is worth being rude constantly.

It's sad that you are oblivious to how much you actually talk about yourself. it wouldn't be a thread without you interjecting about your personal life without even asking.

And yet I'm picking on you after you call me a piece of shite numerous times last night when I was stating my opinion over this matter? Your attempt to deflect this on me is funny. But you were drunk, go figure. Hope no one "pulled your wheel" this time

How is talking about yourself in a thread on a message board bothersome enough to dedicate so much time to being a prick to me? We can't all be the "witty Lester Earl" persona. So what? I don't understand the fixation. If I bother you so much, why not just never respond to anything I post? Give me a downvote or something. Why even engage me if you are unsatisfied with literally any response I could possibly give you. Why do you even want to converse with me if I'm so bothersome?

You've never said a single positive thing to me. Ever. But oh, let's take the time to type up something rude any time you see something you don't like posted by me.

quote:

call me a piece of shite

Legitimately years have passed with you oddly targeting me on here, and you don't expect me to call you a name when I have some liquid courage? Come on. I apologize sincerely if it was hurtful.

Dead girls family will file a wrongful death suit. His policy will settle the claim; and it will be a significant amount of money. If he was impaired he'll do jail time. If not, he won't.

Prayers to the families involved.

ETA: It's ridiculous that this thread is 20pp. OT strikes again.

im not doing this in this thread, but let me say this. I don't target you. I hardly if ever even respond to you unless you have directly responded to one of your posts.

Some self awareness & self realization would go a long way with you. Twisting as if I target you or that I'm fixated on you, or that you are some kind of victim is laughable.

One more tip, it's the Internet, who cares what I think of you or if I'd even like you in person.

That's pretty cryptic and malevolent sounding, Winkface. Care to expound on that?

I'm with guy above, I have no clue what that means or how I'm using that as an excuse.

Last few pages have been some pretty good reading...

I know the father of the young lady who died. I would encourage all posters to use the proper amounts of decorum in this thread. He is a great man and I would hate for him to read some of the comments here. And chances are he may stumble on this thread one day.

It's tOT and you can't have an event like this and be without speculation/opinions but please remember the reality of the circumstances we are discussing.

The car insurer will tender policy limits. That's really not debatable. The issue will be whether there will be an excess judgment. If the guy is really worth as much money as presumed, the Court may not let him slide with just policy limits.

GFY, no one is going to receive gratification from this situation you stupid frick. We are calling foul because it is obvious that this guy is being treated different than most would or have been in the past facing a similar situation.

2 Months for toxicology results is absolutely ridiculous and the only explanation for taking that long is to provide a cool off period to allow the public to get distracted/move on to something else before the results are released.

Just one example in the past 3 moths from NOLA.COM

quote:

One man is dead and another arrested after Thursday night's (Feb. 4) deadly traffic accident on Calliope Street, New Orleans police say.

quote:

Vidrine's blood-alcohol level was 0.12 percent, "well over the level limit of 0.08 percent," an NOPD statement said. He was booked just after 3 a.m. Friday into Central Lockup.

You don't think the victims family is going to stay on top of this?

The guy is going to get his if he is guilty.

So yes, you are on the instant gratification train. Whether the info is processed today or in June, it's not going away until it's settle. You, as in the general public, is not entitled to know this information asap. Let the process play out.
