Suddenlink sucks huge horse cocks. That is all.

Yesterday on my way into town, I passed by the Prien office (which I thought I heard was closed) and the parking lot was full of Suddenlink vehicles. In the middle of the day.

You have to think heads are going to roll at Suddenlink.

customers leaving Suddenlink

I will be one of those many customers very soon. I hope it’s a long line (behind me).

Will be dropping those fricks as soon as possible. They sucked before Laura; their “we basically don’t give a frick” attitude afterwards makes me hate them even more.

There is going to be a lot of green firewood to be sold this winter as seasoned wood. Buyers beware.

Mark Sudduth @hurricanetrack just released their report on Laura.

A minimum pressure of 936.0 mb was measured in Cameron at 12:55 AM. Their measurement was recorded 1.3 miles from the true center.

They had a weather station at Sabine Pass, TX that successfully measured winds throughout landfall. It was located 36 miles from the center. It recorded a 104.8 mph gust and 76.2 mph sustained.

They recorded other pressure readings from Lake Charles and points further inland.

Landfall Coordinates: 29.8° N , 93.3° W

For anyone who hasn’t been here, the storm devastation is immense. Entire neighborhoods of houses that suffered damage. Blue roofs for days. Major structural damage to businesses. I came into the Katrina aftermath a little later in the process, so the scope of damage wasn’t as obvious. But, from the frontlines of Lake Chuck, this old telephone man can tell y’all this place took one helluva beating.

That said, everyone I’ve dealt with has been pleasant. A few folks seem a little like walking zombies. Can’t imagine the stress they are all under. But, definitely some good people over here and glad I have the opportunity to meet a few dozen of them.

Bro you’re a month after the fact too. It’s hard to comprehend how much cleanup has happened. You should have seen it the day after landfall. I’ve never seen anything like it, including Rita. It looked like a bomb went off. People have a hard time understanding the wind. It was like a tornado went up and down every street.

Filed a complaint with the FCC against suddenlink this morning, got a call from their corporate office in New York at 08:30, and I got internet back 30 minutes ago. They restored my whole street when they came out

the week Of the storm was bad. I was talking to people who sounded drunk at 7am, having worked 20 hours a day after day after day.

I’ve got debris piled across the entirety of my frontage, mixed per fire department’s instruction. Power lines (old) lying across debris and driveway, knocked down by power crews restoring power down the street. Severed cable line and cable main box ripped off house.

Debris crews won’t mess with power lines. Power crews won’t mess with debris. Cable crews ghost like Swayzee but won’t mess with debris or power lines.

Getting pretty frustrated. Movers scheduled Saturday are going to love parking across the street.

Weird, I also filed a complaint with the FCC this morning...haven't heard anything from them yet and don't expect miracles but can't hurt...

I guess I’ll give this a shot... maybe I’ll at least piss somebody off who works for that crap company; that alone will be worth it. Doubt they care though.

We’ll likely be there sooner. I was clearing jobs set for mid November yesterday. We’ve got a large crew from out of town right now (including this cowboy), and there are supposed to be 30 techs out of Houston heading this way. Also, we’re getting asked to return for the first two weeks in October. We will have a huge presence in Lake Chuck for a while.

Also, if you see an ATT tech in your neighborhood, stop and give them your address and account info. I’m doing several additional jobs today for people who walked up and asked.
