Either she buys from women "rehoming" purses or she uses the info on who the most reputable sellers are

Okay good that you are with someone who has similar beliefs about money. I guess you are just interested in general with these "how much does your lady friend spend" threads.
I don't judge other women if purses or beauty products make them happy and they are willing to spend hundreds if not thousands on them. I am just not wired that way. Those things are just utilitarian to me. Sometimes I wish i could buy me some happiness. I wish a $50 lipstick, or a $500 purse made me happy. What I value money can't buy and not always easy to obtain like a purse is. So, some days I envy those people who can buy their joy.

I pity the wives of some of the posters in this thread. The fact that they put up with you and the gigantic sticks up your asses is a miracle.
It's my wifes own choice to be the way she is. Believe it or not, not all women want ridiculous expensive accessories to validate their social circle.
Seems to me the people with sticks up their asses aren't the down to earth people

In 1985, I bought a Louis Vuitton doctor bag style purse for my fiancée. It was $330 and then they asked $65 for the strap. Thats $1200-$1300 today.

My current purse is a $1000 Gucci but I got it secondhand. I’ve had it for awhile too—need a new one soon.
I like quality. Of course he wants a 17,500 Rolex so he can’t say shite about my purses!

Eh, I was responding to your “putting up with crap comment”.

Never have i ever taken notice of the brand, type or even color of a womans purse. Equivalent of dudes who keep their yeti and dog box on their truck year round. LOOK AT ME!!!!!

I will never understand such foolishness.

My wife is pretty practical, she doesn’t carry a purse all that much. She has a backpack that she got mainly for travel now carries it all the damn time. She keeps all kinds of shite in it plus her gun fits nicely as well.
Male equivalent- Golf Clubs/Guns/Fishing gear

I just can't even imagine how miserable I'd be having to be around someone so pretentious. My wives childhood best friend turned into an absolutely miserable person. 5k purses, fake body parts, ect. She always seems miserable and better than everyone and everything around her. In spite of having everything she desires she is somehow never happy.
I've been married 25 years and couldn't be more thankful to have someone that's modest and happy.

My wife gets bad motion sickness, so sometimes it comes on her when she’s driving. In those cases she dumps out her purse and throws up in it, then discards the purse. So she is accustomed to buying cheap purses.

There are strong relationships between modesty and happiness, materialism and neuroticism.
