French Bulldogs are expensive, have medical issues, and aren't even that pretty a dog. No thanks.

I've got 2 dogs... a Weimaraner and a Frenchie... My weim is a 100lb brute of an animal that thinks he's a lapdog but very protective of the family and has been a really good dog..

The frenchie...well she's retarded... she's a good dog though.. bizarre mannerisms at times but good.. And of the two she's the only one that plays fetch.. The Weim enjoys me throwing the ball/frisbee/rope but want's me to fight for it back or plays a game of keep away that i'll never win

I would have guessed Doodles and Aussies based on how many I see. But I guess it's Frenchies.

Yeah, gonna call bullshite on that one. Brachycephalic breeds aren't low maintenance. And FBDs have allergies as well. Not that thats unique. But the two I've owned were/are incredibly sweet and entertaining and have more energy than you think.

A French bulldog is the first dog I’ve ever owned. 8-9 years old and medical issues are piling up. Unfortunately think we will have to put her down pretty soon.

Frenchies got trendy.

The old standbys are Labs, Goldens and German Shepherds. Still the best dogs you can own (throw in border collie too)

Trendy chick dogs are overtaking traditional family dogs.

Ours was so mean she had to be put down. Bitch had a screw loose. Bit several people and injured quite a few dogs.

OMG yes.. mine is 2 years old and her motor doesn't shut off.. it's ridiculous.. she has a frisbee she wants me to throw every time we're outside and I literally could throw it for hours on end and she won't quit.. Pretty sure she'd keel over before she'd quit playing

youngest wanted a Frenchie. no way was I paying up front to pay for health problems later. Adopted a Boston instead b/c the longer snout meant way fewer issues with a similar looking dog. he's smart as hell and had a great personality. drops arse like crazy though. after having big dogs all my life (including currently), I will probably keep a Boston around going forward.

Sorry to hear. We just put our first one down. She was 16. She was an absolute delight and had very few medical issues. The current one has had
More issues but she was confiscated by animal control from the original owner for neglect so that’s understandable.
Hope you get another dog and this experience doesn’t make you jaded.

I had a lady cut my hair who said registered French bulldogs are $4,000? There has to be a cheaper option.

I love all these dogs just as long as these nasty animals stay outside and do not bring their filth inside the house.

Walker coon hounds started in KY and are VERY high energy. They can easily run 2 - 4 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have 2 rescues and I look nothing like your baw (to be fair I don't look like the pic I posted either). Most the folks I know that have them are rural folks and almost all farmers who work hard and hunt when they have time.

I love mine but it takes a calm personality to live with them, especially if you get one with digger traits.

Bad Dog! (course he is a hound and could care less if he is bad)

Labs are people pleasers, hounds are not.

My girlfriend has a youngEnglish bulldog and it was not well behaved at all when we first met. I’ve worked with her for 6 months now and I love the dog to death. So sweet and also loves being lazy.

Her farts and sniffing do get old, but I’m still immature enough to find the farting funny.

I will say I dislike frenchies.

This makes me sad

So Walkers will be the new pitbull eventually through bad owners?

I had an English Bulldog / Beagle designer breed - a beabull. It was the best dog I had ever own, truly my best friend. He died on Labor Day 2020.

Last Month we got a chocolate lab puppy, he's 14 weeks old now. Hopefully he turns out half as good as the beabull was.

I'm not sure what they are actually counting, but I can tell you the most common breed is pit.
