I thought pit bulls were America's favorite breed.

That's AKC numbers.

There are likely an order of magnitude more unregistered Lab mixes.

Walker Coonhounds for folks looking for a smart but hardheaded breed that will want to run for 2 - 4 hours a day while wanting you to be their slave. Bad boy behavior for those who are up to the task

Anyone else surprised that huskies aren’t on that list?

I rescued a Frenchie a year ago. She's a broken dog. 9 years old.

Couldnt' even breathe when I got her. Three days later got the extended palate surgery. Not that bright.

Here's the fallacy of this whole article:

It clearly states the criteria is based on "registrations".

Labs are fairly cheap to obtain. Frenchies are extremely expensive. We are talking up to $5K for a dog with zero skill set. I imagine there are a literal shite ton of Labs out there, that are not "registered". I doubt there are any French Bulldogs.

French Bulldogs are fricking gay.

And English Bulldogs are fat, diabetic piles of shite.

my point exactly! I saw a couple about a year ago. Dude was a breeder. Went to Cali to get a $5K puppy.

Labs? They are everywhere. Hard not to see a Lab.

If I’m paying $5000 for something to cuddle with, I’m gonna make damn sure it has a middle name.

I own 4 of the top 10 breeds listed. Go me! All adopted cause some POS dumped them on my road or otherwise neglected them.

Frenchies are awesome little dogs but the popularity is going to cause some unpleasant results. I’d rather they remain a niche breed.

The problem is there are hundreds if not thousands of breeders out there who are carelessly breeding them without any effort to filter out genetic issues. They don't give a shite about the breed, just grabbing the cash.
