Find me a R governor in the south currently even hinting at adding back any restrictions?

Why is that my fault? Who shut them down? They are not getting shutdown because people aren't getting a vaccination. They were only ever shut down because of the cock sucker governor that you probably helped get elected.
Anyone who voted for JBE is at fault for why we were shut down for so long and any forthcoming BS shutdowns, not the people trying to live their lives and being out supporting these businesses.

My wife, my 10yrbold son and myself are three of those. Wife and I are both fully vax’d.

I don't think the threat of economic shutdown should be used as coercion to get the vaccine.
At this point, everyone who wants the vaccine has had ample chance to get it. Those that don't want it have chosen to accept any consequence to their health that that may (or may not) bring. I'm fine with that. I personally got vaccinated because I decided that, despite being healthy, I would rather not risk the adverse effects of the virus.
I don't think we need to shut down because cases are increasing. People have made their decision to get vaccinated or not, so let's go.
ETA: what I do take issue with is willful misinformation to try and undermine the decision of people taking the vaccine. "You can get covid anyway, vaccinated people make up 60% of hospitalizations, more people died from the vaccine than covid" etc. is all nonsense that does nothing to benefit vaccination efforts or informed choice. Let people do what they want and let 'er rip

I agree with all of this.
That's not what is going to happen though.

Just chiming in to say 51 percent of adults have the vaccine in Louisiana just a few months after being widely available.
80 percent of 65+
That seems pretty remarkable to me especially given how rural the state is.

When will the media start showing the cases/deaths on their screen 24/7?

Yep.
When we folded to these lunatics we gave them precedent to do ridiculous things over and over again.

There's definitely a way. The deaths aren't up, just the infection count. Delta variant is more contagious and it's spreading, but the majority of "high risk" folks are vaccinated so people aren't dying.
So we should go on about our lives.
No chance. Big pharm, hospitals, politicians have money to make.

That's not allowed. There is no more real media. It's controlled by government. Wake up.

It's been stated literally a thousand times that you can catch it more than once

Because you refuse to get vaccinated, and that stupid mindset is pervasive in Louisiana.
You cannot blame the government because that's what governments do.

They are, effectively.

Most of us agree with this. However, if you agree with this, then you should not take aim at unvaccinated people as the reason for a shutdown, because that is not the case. Everyone should only take issue with JBE if there are any future shutdowns/mandates. I can assure you that the numbers won't change much. As stated, anyone who wants a vaccine has likely already received one.

There's nothing we can do about JBE and the courts have made that abundantly clear.
What we can do is get enough people vaccinated.

Friend just got released from the hospital after a motorcycle accident. His wife just today told me that she point blank asked the nurse if they were out of space and he said "space? NO. Employees to care for people in those beds? YES".
So the correct term is "we're out of staff to care for these patients".
