So the other thread says 97% of cases in Louisiana since February are from unvaccinated people.

Not sure how accurate that statement is. At one point it was 100% because we didn't have vaccines.

It does not stop some people from getting it.

There was always going to be breakthrough infections.

Not being vaccinated doesn't mean you will get covid either. What's your point?

It makes you more likely to get covid by a significant degree.

The more people that are unlikely to get covid, the less people are hospitalized, the less cases there are, the less deaths there are...

The less a tyranical government has an excuse to frick your world up.

Which they are about to do, because Louisiana ranks towards the bottom in vaccinations.

We should have these numbers from when the vaccine was made available to everyone.

I don't care and I am not wearing a mask.
I went to my rheumatologist Monday. They have someone stationed at the entrances of the clinic, handing them out, if you aren't wearing one.

Have to take my dad to his cardiologist for a pace maker check up tomorrow, and know I'll have to wear one again there.

Doctor's offices are the only place I've worn one since I got vaccinated.

Correct, no vaccine in existence prevents you from getting a disease 100% of the time.

Everyone needs the vaccine and the government will stop walking all over us. You've posted so many bad takes that have no basis in reality lately that it's impossible to keep up

False, how did you word that earlier... Oh yeah, it makes some people more likely to get covid by a significant degree.
Healthy/young people are basically having the same numbers as vaccinated people. Look at all the specific data and it's elderly and people with poor health conditions that are getting covid and dying. I have yet to see data that shows the vaccine significantly improves anything for younger, healthier people.

Is it possible to achieve herd immunity? Yes or no?

Will a high percentage of people that are vaccinated cause a reduction in cases, deaths, and/or hospitalizations? Yes or no?

Relax…99.982% of the state’s population isn’t hospitalized from Covid and 99.789% of the state’s population has survived the pandemic thus far. Why not use that stat?

Also, using the worst case scenario in looking at the total numbers by assuming every positive test was a unique individual positive (not multiple positives on the same individual), more than 9 out of 10 of us have never even tested positive for the virus.
