But with his mandate employees are calling out concerned about exposure. It’s a shitty double edged sword.
And catching the virus is an OSHA recordable.

Them boys are going to be begging to go back to work once the bills start rolling in. Bad new for y'all. Oil is $29 a barrel. Tough times are a coming for the oil patch and state regardless of this nonsense.

I am working until too many of the people I deal with shut down. But last week I cut back on less important personal contacts anyway. And I feel the order is unconstitutional, but no judge will be around to do anything. Civil disobedience anyone?

i can say very little has anything to do with the fact it's JBE issuing the order
people still think "flattening the curve" means this will be over in a couple of weeks b/c of how poorly the government has explained it

10-15% will refuse to be quarantined. But, they will have to travel by foot or bike.

I’m in Sandestin, none of the hotels are allowed to put out chairs but the police are basically letting everyone bring their own chairs and hang out on the beach. They are strict about getting in the water though. Same goes the all the pools around us, no furniture but they aren’t kicking anyone out. Doesn’t exactly make sense but I’ll take it.
The Sandestin board basically decided that they will not close their beaches like the rest of the state so there’s this petty shite going on with people stepping foot in the water as they do not own the water. I was on a run yesterday and a cop got on his loudspeaker to tell me to get off the wet sand

I plan on living my life the same. Always maintained it was an overreaction since the start.

Yea I agree here. They also don't realize that to truly keep the curve flat you are talking about months of what we are doing now. The country would be in ruins if that happens.

the fact that the media hasn't pressed JBE or, hell, even Trump, about this is crazy

but this isn't legally enforceable
Going out after curfew after a hurricane has landed people in jail before.

Yep. Various government officials have given timelines ranging from "a couple of weeks" to "July"
And they haven't given any real data and haven't explained just what they are looking for that would constitute "success"
Nobody has asked what happens if this comes back in November since even a fast tracked vaccine won't be ready until 2021.

The second wave of the Spanish Flu killed more than the first. Scary to think we could see the same thing.

That’s weird the walking track at Audubon Park was not like that this afternoon. Parents walking the dog with a beer or wine. Kids wearing those Viking helmets biking on the bike path. The path was busier than normal.
