This is where yall frick up. All you are trying to do is pass a class. You find your angle if when you can. Professors who have strong political beliefs grade with a biased if they know a student's political views.

There were 3 or 4 classes in which I played into a professor's political views, rarely went to class and passed the class with an A.. Except one. I ended up needing a B on my example to get a C in the class. I missed quizzes that were given when I wasn't there. Made a B on the exam, went talk to her before the exam.. Finished with a B in the class.

You arguing with them in class isn't going to do anything. Might as well play into it.

Dr Mead and Dr Daly (Hist 101 and 202 respectively) were my favorite professors at tech.

I still remember Dr Mead “In 3100 BC Narmer united upper and lower Egypt. That is the same year that he (Dr mead) invented The margarita, but not chili”. Stupid, but very effective. He also frequently said that extra credit could be had for any student who could get him a date with Michelle Pfeiffer or Jessica Rabbit. He was one of the best lecturers I have ever had the pleasure of listening too.

Dr Daly was up there too. He got his PhD from Rice at the age of 21 or so. He claimed to have worked for the circus and “proved” it by rewarding the class with a unicycle and juggling act that was very impressive when we all made 80s or better on a test. I used to hang out with him in his office talking about the Man Show. He made us read the Autobiography of Malcolm X and to this day, it is my favorite book.

I miss my history studies at La Tech. I hate to hear this bullshite going on.

Econ prof Lee Smith about the same time. WWII fighter pilot.
