Be happy. It's 6.5% here in Arkansas.

So home repairs and dog grooming are exempt now? Why do I have the feeling tax payers will somehow get screwed? I don’t trust Louisiana gov. They should have heavily taxed lottery tickets at the rate I saw those folks in line buying.

You know the vast majority of people will end up paying more taxes via sales than they would pay with the income tax.

Smoke meth and break all 10 commandments is more like it.

So we go into a deficit, elect a democrat, raise taxes, complain, balance budget, elect a republican.

no income tax state
I read some article that was claiming no state income tax in Louisiana isn’t feasible… because it isn’t enough property to tax in the state compared to what Louisiana spends… could be bullshite but I got no faith in nothing Landry is doing

When does the new tripled standard deduction go into effect and when will my paycheck go up from the lower income tax?
Posted on 11/22/24 at 9:41 pm to Tigerpaw123
One of the poorest states, but still one of the highest taxed states. Who do you think pays the tax burden …..

I think they also have a 4.5% parish tax on top of the 5%. So you pay almost 10% in BR

Do you trust Louisiana gov.? Look at other states who do have high taxes, but run well. And have good education. It’s used properly. Money here seems to end up in pockets vs for us.
