I'd rather have Mother Nature Time all year, but if they'll just pick one time, I'll take it. Anything to avoid the back and forth business.
Arguments about a neighboring state having a different time zone are fruitless. What about the states on CST next to EST states? What about FL having two different time zones? Geez...
Eventually, all states are going to get rid of the back and forth. It's simply a matter of whether they choose Mother Nature Time or DST.

I mean, obviously some shite will have to be dealt with in order for this to be implemented. Duh. All sorts of things would have to adjust like shipping schedules, flight plans, etc.
It's also not rocket surgery, because this same scenario exists in other places because of time zones and not all states doing DST as it is.
And it's not like things would change immediately anyway, there would be time to update software and shite.

This shite should have been changed years ago!

We'd be a lot more open to the idea if it wasn't Louisiana who needs a multi million dollar study for everything.

adjust dst by 30 minutes rather than an hour, leave it alone and call it a day...

This study needs to cost $180k at most, and be subsidized by a bidness or entity that would most likely benefit from the change.
I'm so smart. I'll be your legislator!

You do have a close family member specializes in studies like this that will administer the study and collect the payment. Amirite?

Way too sensible and way less corrupt. You'd lose in a landslide.

Need to make sure they get the right terminology. We want to KEEP Daylight Savings time all year. Sucks when it is dark at 5pm

Sheeeit. I'm corruptable. Just rarely in a position to help anyone at the expense of others.

Easier way for politicians to funnel money into their pockets by forming a task force

100 years is enough...let's pick a time and stick with it.
