I think the 20mph was registered post-impact

Technically, both since ATC gave the truck clearance to cross the runway.

You can argue the firetruck should have seen the plane coming, but they were turning away from the plane as they tried to cross. It being dark and the tarmac being wet probably also played into it. Every light in the area is reflecting off the tarmac...

I've seen vehicles almost impact aircraft at night lots of times. You get comfortable in your surroundings and its easy to forget basic things. Add in that the firetruck was given the OK and its easier to understand.

One of the flight attendants (assuming the one up front) was found outside the plane alive and still strapped into her seat.

This is miraculous, sure they were sitting in the small jump seats right the cabin door which is only separated from the pilots cabin by the bathroom.

and a ballistic door that likely protected her from shrapnel and absorbed some of the impact

ATC gave fire truck permission to cross runway. And ATC was saying stop stop stop but it was to late and he didn't specify WHAT was to stop until it was to late. The plane wasn't in view of the firetruck when it was crossing.

Are you special, or do you just have no idea how aviation and ATC works?

I can barely force myself to do 20 mph through my neighborhood. That low of speed feels like idling to me.. zero chance the plane or firetruck were doing less than 25mph.
The plane was coming in hot on the video.
