And read Tom Grant's webpage for the book version which spells things out even more.

Disagree. Nirvana was badass before he died. On the other hand, I think many musicians who die during peak years are put on a pedestal even more than they were. This can happen to musicians even when their career is over.

Michael Jackson and Elvis come to mind. Locally, for the Tejano lovers here in Texas, Selena fit the bill.

Couldn't he have shot a massive dose and then immediately shot himself like 10 seconds later? That way he would die one way or another?

According to the evidence known it appears impossible he shot himself.

Shot himself in the head and conveniently places the shotgun across his chest

And for some strange reason the Seattle PD destroyed that gun within days of the "suicide".

He was a junkie. Junkies can handle outrageous amounts of heroin.

Even if he didn't die, he should have been knocked out and unable to function. He should not have had the ability to pick up a shotgun and hold it steady even if just for a few seconds.

Not necessarily true. His blood would still have extremely high levels as he was coming down from the high or if he shot up and pulled the tourniquet just before he pulled the trigger (maybe to ensure he died).

I don't know much about this case, but I do know a fair amount of heroin junkies unfortunately from a loved one.

Question for those that know about this case and say no residue on hands/couldn't reach trigger with barrel aimed at head. Could he have pulled the trigger with his toe? Not unheard of and would be pretty easy to do.

disco put the nails in the coffin of rock and roll, rap/hip hop drove them in, grunge wasn't even a footnote
