I guess next you're going to tell me Courtney made him eat a handful of painkillers in Rome?

In studying the Rome incident, journalists Ian Halperin and Max Wallace contacted Dr. Osvaldo Galletta, who treated Cobain after the incident. Galletta contested the claim that the Rome overdose was a suicide attempt, telling Halperin and Wallace, "We can usually tell a suicide attempt. This didn't look like one to me." Galletta also specifically denied Love's claim that 50 Rohypnol pills were removed from Cobain's stomach.[31]:89

Yeah the “three times the lethal dose” argument doesn’t really hold water. Opiate tolerance increases at an exponential rate. One man’s OD is another’s doctor-prescribed dosage.
Apparently (per Soaked in Bleach) even accounting for addict level tolerance, it was still much more then enough to incapacitate someone, not to mention the rarely of suicides following heroin overdoses.

I absolutely f#*^%!ng hated the way the press made him out to be the symbol of my generation.
So, too, did Andy Rooney. Lol he basically said the same thing.

IIRC they talk about how he was found clutching the shotgun with the ejection port facing to his right but the shell was found on his left.
A close family member of mine was a homicide detective for 25 years in a big city.
He said any "suicide" where the victim was found holding the firearm was automatically suspicious for a homicide having been staged to appear as a suicide.
He explained, based on his 7 years of beat cop experience prior to making detective, that when someone is killed in a shootout, they almost always drop/release their weapon. If the gun is still in their hands, its because their finger was caught in the trigger guard, and said he'd never seen a victim formally gripping a weapon.
