This is a good story. ULL is very welcoming to out of state students. She should go straight over to the Catholic Student Center and get involved. Best group anywhere.

I’m in higher ed and really enjoy he’s ring great stories like this.
Your kids have incredible parents.
You still live in IL?

This for real? So my son could go to LSU for in-state tuition fees when we don't live in La, my wife and I ate both LSU grads.
My son hasn't been diagnosed on the spectrum, but only because everyone says 'don't label him.'

I know a TON of girls who got below a 22 who don't have any disabilities. Congrats to her. Truely impressive.

But you should check.

My kid made that in 7th grade.

Good job and congratulations. ULL isn’t bad but that basketball coach is a prick.

Just did. 10% non-residence fee waived for 8 semesters. $1600/ yr or so.

I made a 23 in the 12th grade.

Big fan of your daughter. Having an LSU daughter I mean that in the least perviest way. I hope she kills it at ULL. Your home will get much quieter, prepare yourself to be unnerved.

I have a kid that has already graduated from UL and is now graduating from LSU Veterinary School in May. Both are great schools.

I still ain't wearing no ULL crap though!
I have a son who graduated recently from ULL. I tell you from personal experience not to worry about the "ULL crap" since all of it will instead say mainly "UL" or sometimes "Louisiana."
And congratulations to your daughter's acceptance to college. Sounds like she's a hard worker w/ a lot of good family support.

Nope... LSU offered my oldest daughter no help with out of state tuition. They discontinued the legacy tuition program years ago.
ULL goes one step further. They not only honor legacy alums but will honor alums for all La public college for an out of state tuition scholarship.

That’s quite an accomplishment albeit not as prestigious as an acceptance into Eastern III.

LSU and UL are ok but McNeese is the tits!

Bob Marlin will be happy to have your daughters support! Real talk, I transferred in and only spent 2 years at UL but I loved my time there and in Lafayette. I know you said you're from Lafayette but if you haven't been in a while I hope you get the chance to visit. Campus has changed a lot in recent years.

Really? You bring the name argument in this thread? Grow up. And as far as LSU SVM being overrated, I beg to differ. Because of her degree from there, she has a job already lined up at a good clinic. She just has to finish her externship. So, I would not say overrated, but she put in the hard work.

Congrats to your daughter! I hope she enjoys her college years! Going to be a teary goodbye on move-in day.
