Would only annoy the gator unless you got way too close for comfort.

Dragon on land, gator in the water.

depends on the size of each and where the fight is.

these are two animals whose home turf are opposite areas.

if its in the water, the gator.

land, probably the dragon. too quick for the gator

Komodo dragon would probably win on land handily. Way better range of movement.

Large cats like tigers and jaguars regularly kill alligators

Gator would bite down and roll it's way to the KO.

Dumbasses. Do some research. The Komodo Dragon doesn't have teeth that could pierce the gators skin. It's deadly because it's mouth is full of infectious bacteria. A bull gator would snap a K Dragon in half. A 12 foot gator had like 300 pounds on that pussy lizard. No contest.

Gator kills the Komodo during the fight, but the gator would still die later of infection from the Komodo bite... So it'd be a draw

I think Komodo dragon gets a bite in. But gator ultimately win because of sheer power.
Only question is weather dragon has enough power and venom to deliver a fatal blow. Poison takes a few days to kill
In which case both would die...

Unless he gets the belly he can't cut the skin. Also no one knows if the dragon bacteria is even deadly to other reptiles / gators.

Let's put them in a cage and find out. Bonus you don't have to feed whoever wins for a day or 2.

You should do some research. Dragons actually have venom glands that prevent blood clotting, causing their bite victims to bleed out.

While their mouths do contain bacteria, it's not what the stories have made it out to be, and not typically the cause of death.

research

I say the Gator would win initially but die from septic shock a day or so later. Supposedly that is how komodos kill; through blood poisoning.

But I am pretty confident that gator would end the komodo's life first.

eta: now I see something along the lines of my comments were already stated.
