This is so weird. I was reminiscing about that series of Kodak commercials with a friend this week. So weird.

It’s like watching the ruins of a dead world.

We did the same. Found a disposable camera the other day. We took it to Walgreens and had them developed. It was from probably 12 - 15 years ago when the kids where in grade school

The Cracker Jack mascot having his birthday was a nice touch.

That was cool.

I used to waste super 8 and regular 8 film when I was kid. Super was easy with the enclosed carts.
Regular 8 need the tiny reels of 16 mm flipped to shoot the entire roll.

I do not miss the 4 min time limit. Could not afford 16mm film and cameras.

No biracial homo couples…I miss the days when commercials were actually allowed to target the people who bought their product. I blame McDonald’s in the late 80’s early 90’s when Jordan was doing their commercials. They had no white people in them at all. That’s when I realized I wasn’t supposed to eat McDonald’s anymore.

My grandfather was one of the first radiologists in Louisiana a long time ago. He was in a fairly small town. He had a dark room in his office and developed his own X-rays. Wild compared to today.

This comment reminded me of the opening scene for The Goods

Ahhh, Kodak and the 1970s. Using the 110 with flash cubes and to get the "red eye" out you used the flash cube extender.

Man flash cubes seem archaic now. You got four flashes per cube and it would rotate as you took the picture. Flashback to childhood.

I watched a 1971 ABC college football game on YT a few days ago. It was a full broadcast with commercials. Saw the “is it live or is it Memorex?” commercial and the “Gorilla with the American Tourister suitcase”, my favorite.
