eah she’s awesome. I’m not a cat person at all but she’s grown on me. Our chocolate lab loves her and the feeling is mutual.

This sounds gay as hell, but you've bonded. Cats aren't like other animals and sometimes don't have the ability to bond. Those are those nasty, angry feral cats that are strawn around.

Your cat has already bonded with you. It trust you. That's a great sign that you are now the owner of a wonderful cat. Those frickers live forever though, I had one for 18 years once.

Take it too the vet in a few days, get it dewormed and vaccinated. Trust me, you'll want to get it fixed in 3 months so go ahead and schedule that.

Thank you so much! This little guy is a heart stealer. He has a permanent home now. I thought my infant feeding nights were over years ago.

Here is our story. The wife wanted a cat and five weeks back, she contacted a Facebook Lady in Laurel and we drove there on a Sunday to pick up a Calico we named Misty, because it was misting rain all day long when we got her. She was five weeks old when we got her and now is 10 weeks old. Doing fine.

We got Misty on Sunday and the next day - Monday - I had to get my Warfarin Blood work done at St. Dominic's blood center on Treetop avenue just off Lakeland Drive in Jackson, across from GI Associates. It takes the blood folks maybe 4-5 minutes to draw two vials. Have it done every two to four weeks.

I drove onto the lot and five minutes later was driving off. In that time, someone dumped a 3 or 4 week old kitten off in the middle of the street. I stopped the truck in the middle of the road and rescued the kitten. She is doing fine now - five weeks later. Her name is Bit, because she was very small when I picked her up from the street.

Bit is a Manx (tailless) or she has a lot of Manx in her.

Anyhow, The wife (MHNBPF) is now a cat lady I guess. I like them too. They are a hoot to watch, and when they get somewhere bad (Tabletop) I squirt them with a spray bottle. They seem to be learning, so don't believe you can't train a cat.

Easier to train than dogs, in my experience. Plop a kitten down in the litter box as soon as you bring it home the first time? frickers know from then on exactly where to go for the bathroom.

I’ve owned 6 cats, all knew their name, basic commands (come, stay, outside, food time, crate) and 3 of them would actually play fetch. They’re a lot like dogs, except dogs don’t turn into psychos at 3AM and host track field events in the living room…never understood why cats do that shite.

Congrats OP on your new loyal companion. I love cats and dogs equally; my girlfriend’s shitzu is an abused little rescue dog who will never come out of his shell, but he loves snuggling and running around in the fall leaves. Enjoy all animals for their unique, quirky personalities. Every man should have at least one (non-human) companion in his company at all time.

My new little guy looks just like Bit. He makes his first trip to the vet tomorrow for a checkup.

I don't understand this either but I've learned to accept it.

My cats love to bring captured rodents and birds into the house. They take it into the bathroom and slowly kill it. When it's over, the bathroom's a mess. Feathers or fur is everywhere.

Lots of cat lovers in here so tell me your best tips for controlling the fur everywhere ... we brush almost every other day (sometimes daily) with a furminator, blanket on the sofa, rumba often and vacuum often.

I love the cat but the fur not so much.
