Are we really going to be outraged by this?

I was once investigated by a local police department about making a terroristic threat on a message board. But, I do not want to talk about it. (it was bs / a joke)

Today I learned both spellings of this word are correct and acceptable.

I'm genuinely curious when/how this became a "liberal" idea.

He's 5 years old, and after about 10 seconds the teacher realized there was no threat and there's no harm done. What exactly is their goal here?

shes a count, just like most sensitive bitchy teachers who are insecure. Can't stand people like this, they love to control students, mess with their heads, if you aren't smart they'll prey on you. Glad I a was a clever fricker, their worst nightmare.

Being consistent. They arrest older kids for making false threats. Maybe he learned that it's not ok to do these things.

I'm not sure if I agree or disagree with the punishment, but this is more of a message to the parents. Maybe his parents are conspiracy theorist nutjobs or let their kids watch movies they shouldn't.

It's really not. Do you remember when you were 5 years old?

When I was five, me and my friends owned armloads of nerf and other toy guns, played army, saved the world from alien invasions, disarmed bombs like macguyver, and pretended all other sorts of "dangerous" shite.

Maybe we should return to fricking common sense and let five-year-old boys be five-year-old boys instead of treating all of our nation's youth like they are potential terrorists who are about to shoot up the school.

Five years old. I mean, damn.

ETA: by the way, how should a teacher react? How about this...

"Oh, you have a bomb in your backpack? Well, let me just check and see" :checks backpack: "Oh, there's no bomb in there, see? Why don't you take your backpack off and take your seat."

Settle down, Shirley. I wasn't saying he should be treated like a future killer. Talk about get your panties in a bunch...

Seriously. I'd be a little stunned. Suspending him is ridiculous. An investigation into where the hell he learned to say that might be warranted

He's 5. Five year olds say all kinds of crazy shite. My son is almost 5 and sets all kinds of "traps" including rockets/bombs after he watched roadrunner and coyote.

It sounds like little Jackson has been watching his Nazi daddy make bombs.

Actually, it sounds like he lost a couple of backpacks and the parent(s) came up with a way to make sure he didn't lose another one.

Well it started with the Gun Free School Act under Clinton. Plus this happened in a California school.
